From the time we arrived to the moment we left, we were in complete heaven. The beach was right at our doorstep and clean. The cottage was well maintained and offered more amenities than we could have imagined from central air to pots, pans, dishes everything! Do bring your own sheets and towels however. We ended up catching some very large Blue Crabs right off the dock and that was a wonderful surprise dinner! This rental was everything we could have wanted and more for our vacation. It is close to all major shopping yet secluded and private. The neighborhood is whisper quiet - the sound of an occasional boat passing or bird was about it. We enjoyed every second of our stay and will certainly be back next year! Dave is a gracious and accommodating host. Anyone considering a Cape Code trip should stay here!
This was a great experience for me and my children We enjoyed being able to swim and relax each day. The location of the cottage was ideal for us to explore the southern Cape and I would recommend this location to anyone whom is interested.
We just returned from a week rental at the cottage. Some of it was great: the kitchen is totally updated, the location is super quiet and beautiful but also very close to Mashpee and Falmouth, it’s close to lovely Waquoit bay, and you can use the dock for kayaks or a boat.
Unfortunately, there were some problems. Dave was not at all ready for us when we arrived at the check in time. He was frantically working to get it ready but was only partially there. There were still parts of the cottage that were very dirty- mostly very dusty from misuse, and some of it remained that way throughout the week. Or things he intended to replace but ran out of time. I could go on about that but the biggest issue of all was that the beach was packed with smelly, rotting seaweed.
Dave is an extremely nice guy, and seems to be going through a hard time, but then you need reliable assistance, or don’t rent the facility at Cape prices. A huge reason that I booked the place rather than somewhere more affordable was because of the beach, and it was unusable our entire visit. We literally had to lift our kayaks on and off the dock each time because we couldn’t bring them in on the sand. We are also sabbath observant so we spent all of Saturday at the cottage without any electronic entertainment. My intention had been to spend most of that by the beach, but instead we were cooped up in the cottage for a very very long day.
The very last day we were there, he came and was working on it a little. He reported the work like it was a great thing. Too little and too late for us.
Like I said, Dave is nice guy. Very sincere, and was very eager for us to have a nice time. But he also seems very overwhelmed right now, and the facility just wasn’t in rental condition at all.
We had a great weekend at this beach house. It was smaller then I expected. But, it was cute and cozy. There are 2 bunk beds and one single bed. The furniture wasn't the most comfortable, but for the amount of time we stayed in the house it was ok. The area is beautiful and the pond was wonderful to sit by and drink our morning coffee. We had perfect weather the whole weekend. If a small cozy place is what you are looking for, this is a nice place to stay.
