I stayed at this hotel while traveling through the area on business. The hotel is in a safe area and easy to find from the highway. There is a shopping mile a short distance down the road and many restaurants in the area. The hotel was clean and rooms were spacious.
Typical Fairfield. Well situated close to the highway, about 15 minutes from downtown. A mall across the street. The room was clean and quiet, all in working order. Breakfast was standard-Fairfield with good coffee available all day. Very nice staff. Good for a short stay
Stopped here for the night from Boston to Albany, and it was great! Miarabel checked us in late and she was wonderful! She made great conversation, was super informative, and warmly welcomed us. The breakfast in the morning was phenomenal and I wish I had gotten the two ladies' names who were keeping it all stocked. They did wonderfully! The room was cozy and it made for a great stop after a longer drive!
Great staff and clean, spacious room but otherwise, pretty meh. Common areas were not the cleanest and I was abruptly woken up by someone jiggling my door handle at midnight for several minutes — was really unsettling and obviously didn’t sleep so well after that. My key cards also demagnetized, which was a pain. Breakfast was fine.
On a recent visit to the Springfield area, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn Springfield / Holyoke. The staff was very welcoming when we arrived. The rooms are well kept and spacious. The area is actually very quiet. This, even though you are in a business area (Dunkin, Chipotle, and McDonalds) all in walking distance in this mall.
Also, there is a Cracker barrel, just over the hill behind the back of the hotel. Yes, you gotta walk through grass and up a hill but you can get there from the hotel.
