“No water at camp site”

They went through the trouble this year to upgrade all of the electrical service at the electrical sites but did not add water. Seems silly and a waste to do that and not bring water with it. Plus if you are trenching to put in electrical, might as well dig a whole for grey water. Why advertise to RV's and not specifically state that you are dry camping.

We stayed here for 5 nights in our travel trailer at the suggestion of friends and found it to be an excellent location for exploring in and around Boston. To get to Boston, we used the ferry and bus lines from nearby Hingham, and subway service lines from Quincy. We also took a few day trips to Cape Cod and Newport, RI (both about 1.5 hours away by car).
The park itself had a great system of trails that we were glad we brought along bikes to ride. We knew that the park was undergoing an electric upgrade so there was no electricity available, but we were able to use our generator so it was no big deal. The bath house is decent although a bit old. We had hot showers up until the last 2 days.. not sure what happened. Overall, we were happy here because of the location.

Good places to ride your bicycle, walk the trails, or even camp. A tip, if you are over 62 and a state resident with a driver’s license, you can get a state park pass. I have used my state park pass here and you do not have to pay to get in, but camping may still cost $ but at a reduced rate.

Very nice park if you want to go for a walk or ride a bike. Lots of trails, really nice views by the water. Parking lot available in different points. Ideal for family and friends.

Miles and miles of paved and unpacked trials along with some cool concrete relics of its past as a Naval ammunitions facility, Wampatuck makes for a great day of walking in the woods.
