Disappointed to check in and be given a room with 1 bed when I had reserved 2 queens for my family of 4. Unfortunately it was late at night so the transition to a new room was rough on the little kids. The hotel also seemed under staffed. Calls to the front desk rang to no answer. Trash cans were over flowing in common areas, doors were covered in hand prints, the indoor pool area was littered with beer cans and left behind lunch trash. There was litter on the pathway to the marina and to the tennis courts. I expect more of a Hyatt regency waterfront property. Definitely not as clean as I’d hoped. We love this property for its location, but this trip wasn’t what I expected for the $$$ we spent. Food was average, but (blue point) not worth the price. Spa was fantastic, massage was amazing! Good activities for the kids.

We decided to take the kids to the Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort for a "mini-cation" due to shortened spring break. We had friends going to the Hyatt, and we had never been before, so we decided to give it a go.
There was a mix-up in our room (due to online registering), and we started off on a bit of a sour note, due to not having the room we wanted, and it wasn't ready for us at 2:30, so again a bit sour to start. We decided to go eat at the golf course while we waited for the room. I will spare you all the gory details, but "Train Wreck" is the complete summary of the experience. Everyone involved knew that it was a mess, and many blessings to our bartender, Benjamin, for all that he tried to do. Abby, the golf manager, came out too, and of course they covered the cost of the meal. We weren't looking for that, but were thankful for the offer.
Upon arriving in the room, we received a phone call from the Executive Chef for the entire facility. He apologized profusely, and told us that he had to make it right. We told him that we were fine, but he insisted that we join him at the main restaurant as his guests that evening.
The dinner that evening was spectacular! the NY Strip steak was perhaps one of the best I ever tasted. The Spiced Cinnamon Crème du Pots for dessert was a nearly perfect dessert!
When we got back to the room, there was gift bag waiting for us with S'mores kits and sticks to take down to the fire pit.
There were so many activities going on, all the time. Indoor bounce houses in one of the banquet room?!? awesome!
There are pool activities for the kids every hour. The outdoor pool and slide were open during the day. Heated! So nice.
We ate salads and quesadilla at the poolside food stand, and they were so good!

We had such a great time, at a beautiful facility! The hospitality couldn't have been any greater, and the service was over the top.

Thank you all so much for everything you did, to give us a great stay. We will be back soon!

Our family including a 13 year old and 9 year old spent two nights at this resort during Spring Break. The two queen water view room was lovely and clean, with more storage space than I expected. No balcony but sliding class door opened to nice view.

Hotel grounds are lovely. It is off season, but the golf course and tennis/basketball courts were open.

There were many very young (baby-mid elementary school) children at this resort and the spring break activities were tailored to this age group. My husband and I remarked that we probably came to this resort several years too late...it would have been absolutely perfect for them 4-5 years ago. Our young teen said the same.

Spring Break featured moon bounces, magic shows, giant jenga and other games, arts and crafts and more. We did not try the golf course (only a father-son quick mini-golf match). The outdoor pool was open and both pools were a hit with families.

I would suggest you pack a cooler of food and beverages, which it seemed like many families did. There is also a Wawa only a short distance away. We purchased food from both the Bay Country Market and Dock's Poolside. Resort pricing for sure but good selections. The staff tried to keep up with heavy demand.

On our first night we attempted dinner at Michener's Library. After 45-plus minutes, our server realized he had forgotten to put the food order into the kitchen. We left and tried to get food at either Bay Country and the Poolside. It was after 9 pm at this point and both were closed. It was surprising there are no other quick options for late night. Bay Country serves as the resort's store, so we couldn't even grab a packaged snack. We had to call Domino's. The next evening we ventured into town for seafood and Jimmie & Sook's.

We probably will not return, but I would recommend this resort to those with very young children.

Wife and I took the kids (3) to Hyatt Chesapeake. To say it was a success is an absolute understatement. Spring Break time offered movies in the pool, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, countless dives into the pool, beer tastings, family friendly menus, etc.

The kids were happily exhausted every day.

Nearby trips to Harriet Tubman museum, St. Michaels, etc.

Fantastic location for families.

This hotel is simply lovely and the water's edge location is stunning. The indoor pool is wonderful and clean. They had dine-in movies each night at 8pm and the families could watch movies from the pool or lounging in the chairs. It was too cold to make use of the outdoor pool, but they had an amazing fire pit at night. There was also miniature golf on site. For the special Spring Break activities they had many games as well as a whole moon bounce room, an arcade and organized activities like scavenger hunts and other fun things for kids. Parking was easy on-site and free. Theres a Starbucks in the gift shop so that was a nice alternative to the TERRIBLE coffee offered in the hotel restaurants. Breakfast buffet at Water's Edge restaurant was good. In general, the food was just ok, not amazing. But the spacious room and family friendly environment made this a really nice spring break getaway for the family.
