Not much positive to say about this place. Had a dark cave like atmosphere with concrete floors and brick walls, even though there were only 4 tables it was really loud and echo like. Ordered 2 orders of fish and chips and lobster tacos, after about 30 minutes I asked the waitress what the hold up was so she checked the kitchen and they claimed to have never received the order from her. Finally after an hour of wait time the food came out, 2 orders of fish and chips and lobster mac n cheese instead of the lobster tacos I ordered. At this point we weren't going to wait even longer so ate what was served. Fish and limp fries cooked in old grease and couldn't detect any lobster in the mac and if there was any lobster it was way overpowered by the really strong cheese used in the recipe.

The management of the East Wind Inn takes this complaint very seriously and is investigating the circumstances of the complaint to determine how a problem such as this could have occurred. The incident described above does not meet our dining standards. We apologize to this reviewer and we invite the reviewer back. We will provide the reviewer with a complementary dinner.

In fairness we must also state that the review does not describe the Quarry Tavern at the East Wind Inn. The Tavern does not have brick walls and a concrete floor nor "a cave like" atmosphere and the Tavern is fairly quiet even with a crowd seated at our 12 tables. One wall of the tavern is lined with windows facing the harbor. We have a beautiful wooden bar and finished floor. We are also known for generous portions of lobster in our lobster dishes.

Another great casual meal at the Quarry Tavern at the East Wind Inn. Thursday night is Wing Night! Awesome. Tonight’s choice was Garlic Habanero & Sweet Chili with a cold Shipyard Export Ale. Very good! Topped the night off and put the fire out with Chef Colin’s Apple Cranberry Crisp ala mode. Great service and great food!

We enjoyed the home made chips and the fried pickles. The salads were good and the shrimp tacos were a good choice. It is located on the lower level of the East Wind Inn but has windows looking out at the harbor.

We very much enjoyed our dinner at the Quarry Tavern. The food was terrific, and our waitress knowledgeable and pleasant. From our table we could see flowers, yellow birds, and blue water. Can't get any better than that.

When the East Wind Inn reopened a couple of years ago we visited their restaurant on opening night and had a great meal. We had never visited the Tavern, and last Sunday night after a full day we wanted a light meal so we decided to check it out. We entered around 1900hrs and our server Chelsea told us to take any table we were comfortable with, so we did, right by a window over looking the harbor. She promptly came over with menu's and asked about a beverage to start off with. We both placed our orders, my wife inquiring about local beers, to which she got a good suggestion, and shortly they were delivered. I ordered from the specials menu, zucchini sticks and a burger with fries and my wife ordered a salad. She has a carrot allergy and our server checked with the kitchen. They made her a new salad that was huge and no utensils had touched any carrorts in prop. My burger came out just as I had ordered it, Moo rare, what a relief as most places give you a standard BS line. This wasn't a small patty too, about 3 inches think and nice and rare like I like it at home on the grill. The zucchini sticks were lightly fried and tasted great, good addition to the burger. The fries, well hand cut they were not, but ok. The dessert, unfortunately i had to share it, Lemon Berries chiffun, it was to kill for it tasted so good. This place is now on our must stop when here list, Chelsea our server was great and friendly, caring when told my wife has a carrot allergy. Actually on the pick ticket in big letters was written CARROT ALLERGY, and my burger was marked RARE, Thanks Chelsea !
