“Nice Accomodations”

We spent a week at Long Cove Cottages as a guest of a family member. We found the cottage to be comfortable and set in a great location with a beautiful view of the harbor. I was amazed at how well equipped the kitchen was with everything we needed from dishes to pots/pans, utensils and appliances. The cabin was also well stocked with linens. There were three of us in the cabin and we found it to be quite comfortable and not cramped. This is minor but I know I like to have plenty of information when I read a review, so I think the only negative things were the shower curtain and rug in the bathroom - both looked like they needed to be replaced. We had an issue one morning with Wifi availability but that was resolved before the day was over. Otherwise the Wifi worked great.

This cottage is in a great location. It's close to Rockland and Camden, and we found Port Clyde at the end of the peninsula to be quite lovely. Marshall Point lighthouse is also close by. We took a trip up to Acadia National Park which was about 3 hours away but worth it. We also went on a two hour sailing excursion out of Rockland that was terrific. We spent time wandering through the shops in Rockland and Camden and found the art galleries in Camden had some beautiful art work - definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I both enjoy photography so there was plenty of opportunity in that area. We were able to set up our tripods outside our cabin one evening to photograph the Milky Way, which was a treat for us. It's too bright where we live to do that.

I look forward to visiting Maine again, and would definitely consider staying at Long Cove Cottages!

“Peaceful place with a great ocean view”

We spent 2 nights with friends. This place brings together the serenity, ocean view enjoyment, fresh air and comfortably chatting while having bbq in the porch.

The booking process was slow on tripadvisor. I would recommend contacting the owner directly through the business' webpage.

“Wonderful spot!”

I just returned from a great week at Long Cove Cottages - we stayed in #2. I loved the fact that you leave you car in the lot near the owner's house and walk in a few yards to the cottages. (cottage #3 guests drive in) It felt like "getting away from it all!" The cottage had everything we needed...the queen bed was wonderful, yet the twin beds were a little soft. I loved sitting on the deck in a wooded area and being able to see the ocean cove. We could hear the main road a bit, but it didn't bother us.

We (two adults) loved the area! There is so much to do or not do, depending on preference. Rockland (about 15 minutes away) was a great surprise to us...a renovated town that has coffee shops, restaurants, shops and the Farnsworth Art Museum and a Puffin Information Center! We took a two house sail on Morning in Maine and took in a lecture at the renovated Strand movie theater. Add another 15 minutes and you are in Camden, a more upscale town, but still very down to earth. We saw a great play at the Camden Opera House, and took a great drive up Mt. Battie at Camden Hills State Park. We enjoyed walking at Merry Springs nature preserve and gardens for no charge! The Marshall Light House in Port Clyde was a wonderful surprised and not to be missed - it was featured in Forest Gump! Buying fresh rubbarb from the Humble Farmer (Robert) on rt. 130 was fun! We left wanting to return for more "cottage time" and to have more Maine experiences!

Liked best: Private, wooded setting with ocean view

Tenants Harbor is a cute village with breathtaking coves and small harbors. The cottages are basic, clean and quiet. Its a great place to kick back and relax. Debbie and Phil are great hosts. They were very helpful and welcoming. Its definitely some place we will return to!
