Description: TO VIEW OUR CURRENT MENU, please visit our website. The Old Port Sea Grill, opened in the fall of 2002, is located in the heart of Portland's historic Old Port district. Our modern interior features a custom concrete bar, a large lounge area and a dining room that can accommodate up to 60 guests and features a 250 gallon salt water fish tank. Our seafood driven menu focuses on a variety of local and imported fresh fish and shellfish, with an emphasis on east coast cold water oysters and other raw bar offerings. We pair that with a food-friendly wine list, local craft-style beers on draft and an extensive cocktail program to make for an exciting dining experience.

We made reservations at the Old Port Sea Grill and we were seated at our table right away. Our waitress was so friendly and offered some of her favorite suggestions. We went on a Monday night and it wasn't overly busy or loud, which was great. I felt the prices were reasonable and the 2 lb lobster was so much food and priced great! We had a table in the corner right along all the windows and it was the perfect spot to people watch and see the sunset. I got the steak too and that was delicious!

It was 2:30 in the afternoon. There was only three table occupied in the restaurant. It took us a little bit to decide what to eat. Once we ordered the raw oysters took forever. Our lobster rolls took forever. What happened to the kitchen staff? Our waitress was ok, but checked on us infrequently and didn't apologize for the kitchen. How long does it take to schuck 3 oysters and 2 lobster rolls and the meat was cold, so they didn't have to steam it. The food was good, but it ruined to lunch because of poor service.

My apologies for your unfortunate experience. We are fully-staffed and try our best to get guests' food to the table in a timely manner. It appears that for you, this was not the case. I am curious to know if you spoke with your server or manager about this and what was done to rectify the situation.

Old Port Sea Grill

Craving for raw bar...you know how that goes!

NICE...
Atmosphere was upscale and romantic. We were looking for trendy seafood digs in the heart of Commercial St - downtown Portland...and we definitely found it!!!

My bride and I went in for light appetizers and drinks so I cannot comment on the entree’s.

We started with a cup of chowder which would give and chowder house in Boston a run for the money...should have had the bowl...it was that good!!!

We finished with the fried clam strips and 2 dozen little necks. I was left speechless...as the little dudes were so fresh, clean and yummy!!

Wait staff (Jacquelyn) and owner (Laura) where soooo friendly and provided excellent service. Rumor has it that Laura’s staff is so loyal that even the clam shucker has been working with her for 17 yrs. That loyalty presents itself with the quality of the food, staff and atmosphere.

Experience the best...go to the Old Port Sea Grill today!

Stopped in for happy hour. It's one of few places with specials on a Saturday. Our server was very nice and pretty attentive. Drink prices were reasonable when not on special, so we enjoyed our less expensive cocktails. The draft list had a decent selection but could maybe be a bit more extensive, but I guess you can go to so many places in Portland for craft beer, you don't have to get them all in one place.

One simple seafood grill of large sea scallops, roasted potatoes and green beans. There was a choice of sauces or plain. Generous portions, perfectly prepared. One cold lobster served over ice and clam chowder. Both delicious. Prices were fair for value provided. Service was attentive. Very enjoyable meal.
