Stopped in because they advertised margaritas at a discount price and what goes better with a day at the beach than a nice cold drink???
We walked after parking. Parking is always an issue at OOB.
We were seated way in the back and ordered a couple drinks ( margaritas of course) and salsa & chips (watery and stale), but the drinks were great (but in plastic cups).
We ordered a couple of the special tacos (soft and with beef only). They were okay but nothing special.
Okay overall but only the drinks made it a worthwhile visit.

We really wanted to love this place, as we were drawn in by the sweet BBQ smoke aroma. There were 5 of us, so we bought a variety of items to share. Avocado fries were so encrusted in bitter, over-fried breading that you couldn’t taste the avocado. Mexican street corn wasn’t even grilled; just over steamed to mush with a literal dump of chili powder on top. The brisket and smoked chicken quesadillas were pretty decent, but the pork belly tacos were ranked in the top 3 of worst things I’ve ever eaten. They literally deep fried what should have been tender pork belly cubes until they were dried out and like rubber. None of us could chew them! The margarita was weak and in a tiny plastic cup. Service was incredibly slow and nobody checked to see how our food was, so we didn’t bother complaining, as I don’t think anyone would have cared. Such a shame, as it seemed promising from the curb. Skip this one if you’re looking to enjoy your food.

We were walking downtown and decided to stop in for a lunch.
They had rum buckets on the menu- and margarita buckets! We tried two margarita ones, regular and watermelon. Delish. Not too heavy on the booze, but you could still taste it.

We ordered queso and chips, mini chicken tacos, and two burritos- one with pork and one with chicken.
The queso and chips were tasty. Not too spicy, but if you made sure to scoop up the chilies, you could ramp it up. Chips were crisp and not too salty.
Mini chicken tacos were a pleasant surprise. They came out as mini corn tortillas deep fried with some well seasoned chicken inside. Also served with a spicy dipping sauce. Plenty to share.
Burritos were quite large- full of meat and rice. You get to pick a side- our table got the lime rice. Tasted good, but was too much with all the rice that was already in the burrito.

Festive decor, but tables etc. could use a little updating.
Pre wrapped plastic silverware on table as well as paper towels.
Friendly servers.

Odd hybrid menu as it is part Mexican, part bar-b-q, but all in all it was good and we would go back. Prices are reasonable considering you are right downtown.

The hush tacos were excellent at this place. My husband and I wanted some tacos and the avacado cream in the tacos were great.

Food didn't taste at all like it was made at the resturant. It had a ultraprocessed taste like it came from a can. Meat tasted like it was processed meat and not bbq.
