Excellent housekeeping. Cottage very clean and well provided with King bed, comfortable chairs, lots of room for luggage and personal items, excellent bathroom and facilities. Good TV reception. Great landscaping all around property. Nice view of Moosehead Lake.

Room Tip: Stayed in Cottage 4 behind the main Inn. Very quiet and relaxing.

The Greenville Inn is on a dead end street uphill about a five minute walk from the town and the lake. We visited just at the start of the summer season, and for two nights were the only guests. The Inn is on the National Historic Register and has the most wonderful interior woodwork (builder was a lumber magnate) throughout.
Jeff and his wife take excellent care of the Inn, everything clean, freshly painted, polished and dust free. We stayed three nights in Room 23, a medium sized room without a huge amount of storage space, but enough. The internet access was fine, which is a plus in a rural area like Greenville.
I spent a lot of time on the large comfortable porch looking across the lake at the rolling hills. Jeff was very helpful giving us advice on local activities and eateries, and telling us stories of their years running the Inn. Breakfast was fine, not spectacular, but perfectly adequate. My wife and I enjoyed spending time in such elegant and well looked after surroundings.

A last-minute change in plans found us at the lodge December 30th 2017, the first night the lodge was reopened for the winter season. We were the only guests in this charming Victorian mansion which overlooks Moosehead Lake. As the pictures show, the interior is delightful with wonderful appointments and period touches. Christmas decorations are delightful and create a wonderful holiday feel. The room was comfortable in the bathroom have a large soaking tub and shower. As the home came back alive and the heat kicked on, the coziness of the generous wood paneling created the most outstanding ambience. Our host Jeff sat with us during breakfast after he made us blueberry pancakes. Our room rate with tax was $265 a night which included breakfast.

My mom and I came up to Moosehead Lake after a week in Acadia, primarily to go on a moose watch! We found the Greenville Inn on Trip Advisor and were lucky enough to find a reservation in mid-July.

We stayed in Cabin #1, which was adorable and cozy - I loved all the cabin decorations. It was unseasonably cold and rainy during our stay, and the cottage was wonderful. Shower was piping hot, the in-room coffee maker was convenient, and even though the cabins are close together, we never heard our neighbors.

The owners gave us the terrific recommendation to go on a private moose safari with Chris Young - they were absolutely right. I'll review Chris separately, but we had an incredible experience on our early morning moose safari. When we returned at 7am, our cabin had been cleaned and was ready for us to rest and relax in after breakfast. Service was wonderful.

Breakfast was tasty - my only complaint is that there were too many delicious pastries to choose from! The blueberry pancakes on Sunday morning were the highlight.

Even though the weather wasn't terrific, we still enjoyed our time in Cabin #1 at the Greenville Inn. If it had been a bit warmer, we would have enjoyed relaxing on the main house's beautiful porch.

If you're in the area, it's worth a stay - quick walk down the hill to the little town. A true Maine experience!

Room Tip: private cabins are wonderful
