My 12 year old wanted to spend our trip sailing, so we booked three sailing trips. Sail Muscongus was by far the best experience (and also the cheapest). Based on the reviews, we had booked a night in Boothbay Harbor to do this and were so glad we did.

Helping to hoist the sales and checking the lobster traps made a great trip just perfect.

THANKS!

Great time on an early morning cruise. Father and son crew were perfect and their knowledge of the area was vast. Wish we had more time for an evening cruise as well. Can’t wait to come back for more! Highly recommended.

We sailed on the Sarah Meade Friendship sloop. The owners, a father and son team, were both on board and delighted us with extensive information about the area, the boat itself, and the lobster business. The Sarah Meade is a sailing lobster boat, and the owners have traps in the area.As we were returning they allowed my husband, who is an experienced sailor, to take the helm, which was great fun for him. We so enjoyed the excursion that we plan to take a sail on their other boat, a cat boat, before we leave the area.

Captain Nate and Casey kept us entertained, shared local knowledge, and truly represent the storied sailing and lobster catching culture along the coast of Maine. Most of our group had never been sailing before, so we all appreciated the way Nate made the trip educational as well as a fun experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Maine!

We are sailors and history bluffs but you don't have to be either to get enjoyment from this excursion. The captain and his first mate Casey were great at information about all things past and present in the fishing world of Booth Bay .
Word of warning don't use GPS to get to the dock, or if you do put in Spruce Point Inn and not just the physical address.

The first mate works for tips and lobster (which are not a guarentee) so be generous.
