We stay at the Holidae House Bed & Breakfast at least twice a year, a mid-way point on trips to and from Vermont. John and Jeanette are very friendly, accommodating hosts. Breakfasts are delicious, hearty and varied and make use of local products such as blueberries, fresh eggs, and maple syrup. The rooms are attractively furnished, comfortable and very quiet. Holidae House is conveniently located in town , close to a variety of restaurants and the new Maine Gem and Mineral Museum. We look forward to many more visits.

The property is conveniently located in the the town center next to the shuttle stop to Sunday River. The hosts are very friendly and do their best to make you feel at home and accomodate any request one might have. Some rooms need cosmetic updates/ to be freshened up which the hosts are planning when the temperatures warm up and they are less busy. During ou stay despite the severe cold our rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Thank you so much! We are so happy you enjoyed your time with us and that you felt at home. We are very fortunate to be located where we are, it is definitely convenient to everything. We can't wait to finish painting the last few rooms during our slow time. We are so sorry yours had not yet been freshened up and sincerely hope it did not take away from your time here with us. Thanks again and we hope to see you again soon!

We stayed at the Holidae House for two nights last week (Jan 9-10) as we were planning to ski at Sunday River. Our arrival was later than anticipated but host John was perfectly okay with that and very welcoming. Our review title - Home Away From Home - pretty much sums up our stay. We felt very much at home; our room was very comfortable, we were welcome to use the living room and help ourselves to tea/coffee/after dinner cordials and Jeanette's baked goodies in the dining room. Jeanette's breakfasts - quiche one morning, blueberry pancakes from scratch and eggs and sausage the second morning - were delicious. Jeanette and John have owned the Holidae House for about three years, and John enjoys sharing his interest in the house and its antiques, and had very good suggestions for dining out. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

I recently spent two nights in Bethel to visit a cousin along with her sister. My cousin lives in a small apartment that could not accommodate all of us. So she recommended Holidae House. I loved this place as soon as I looked at it on the Internet. I loved the decor as the home is tastefully decorated with antiques in each room! We were lucky to have the room on the first floor with a canopy bed and a twin bed. Each room has a queen bed and all have private bathrooms. Off our room was a cozy living room where our hosts had complimentary bottles of sherry, brandy and Baily’s. I can’t say enough about John and Jeanette, our hosts. Jeanette is a marvelous cook who each morning whips up a yummy breakfast and grinds the coffee beans. John is full of information about the B&B and the area. They could not have been warmer or more gracious! Their place is in the heart of Bethel with restaurants in walking distance. I would highly recommend staying here! The price is reasonable! Oh, Jeanette also baked brownies and cookies during our stay that were wonderful!

We stayed two nights while visiting the Green Mountains in early fall. The property is very nice with quaint rooms. Breakfast is freshly made every morning and served hot. It was delicious! The owners are extremely friendly and were a great help in recommending places to eat in Bethel and where to go for a hike. We would definitely stay there again.

Highly recommended!
