Stayed here one week on a motorcycle ride. It's an old building so the rooms show it.
Owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Having the onsite restaurant for breakfast was great as was the tavern in the basement.

The Inn was nice with a restaurant though it was only open on Fri & Sat. Food was good. Stay included a complete hot breakfast each morning which was basically whatever you wanted on the breakfast menu. Also the Tavern downstairs was nice with atmosphere and good food too. Only complaint was the condition of the room we had in the Carriage House. The steps to it where very steep and each was higher than normal steps (about 10 inches each and about 14 total steps) which we were not told about when reservation made. Wasn't much room to enter at base of stairs either. There was peeling paint or wallpaper on the walls, ceiling showed various cracks, shower was very small, mattress sagged towards the middle and bathroom sink was so old it had two separate fawcets - one for hot & one for cold. TV was a old CRT Tube type, 19 inch, with the CRT going out as the corners of the screen showed only purple or green color. Room cost was about $89/night for 4 nights. I might stay there again but would not stay in the Carriage House. I would stay in the main building. Pics online do not represent true condition of Carriage House room. Wi Fi only worked in the main building and not in Carriage House.

Room tip: Stay in main building and not Carriage House.

Needed just one night and for the price this place fit the bill. Rooms are a little dated and the bathrooms are small, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional and breakfast was very good. Authentic pub downstairs and the bartender will make just about anything if he has the ingredients. Convenient to shops and Bethel is a nice town to walk around in.

Me and my husband stayed there for a music festival. The bed was super comfortable although they advertised it as a king but it was 2 beds pushed together. The service was not so great. We never met anyone that actually "worked" at the front desk. We checked ourselves in where they left envelopes for people with the key-- no problem but if you have a problem, you have to call a phone number. So not so great at 11p and you realize you need an extra towel or help. I felt uncomfortable calling someone at that time of night. Also, the TV was hilarious, an old Samsung TV that was in the oddest position to watch it but have no fear it only had 1 TV channel-Fx TV. What??? I was like really? $89/night plus tax and can't even watch the news? And who do you complain to? There was no one at the desk the entire time including when we checked out. I wanted to use a different credit card to check out but again, no one was even there on Sunday to check us out. The floor carpeting was filthy with stains and spots, it needs to be replaced badly. All that being said, it was fine for basic accommodations. Just don't have any high expectations. Small rooms too. Pics make them look bigger. A lot of deception from this place. The best part was the amazing, generous breakfast. We really appreciated that. And for the most part the staff there was friendly enough. It was a very hot weekend and they were not able to provide ice so we had to go out and buy ice which was a bummer. Lastly there was lousy WIFI that was fully unsecured. Guys please put a password on the WiFI. Hopefully they will work a little harder on sprucing up the rooms and at least putting a face at the desk once in a while. Town was very quiet. Maybe summer just isn't their season. Ski season must be their forte. Disappointed.

Room tip: dingy room not sure about others. furniture old, watermarked yucky

I work in an inn as a breakfast server and reservation/ front desk person, so I'm biased toward customer service. My friend trying to make a reservation spent 40 minutes with front desk staff making it. That's unacceptable! When we checked in, the same person didn't seem to quite with in it on the check-in procedure. Despite that, we did find our room, and found it clean, roomy, and comfortable. Only downside was a oversize bathroom with no vent fan and a thermostat that was hard to control. Dinner at the SUDS Pub was just what we needed after ski training- burger and beer. Staff in Pub was friendly and food and beer was great! Breakfast in the morning would have been okay, but the waitress was unfriendly. I'd never greet customers with her attitude. But, for whatever reason, that's what we two professional female ski instructors got versus the two guys that came to breakfast after us. It was like Jekyll and Hyde.

Room tip: Carriage room #50 was quiet, roomy, but we had a hard timing controlling temperature to our needs. First floor access, a plus for us!
