Owner description: Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by!

We have visited the Louisville Slugger Museum each time we've been in the city, and it never fails to entertain. The tour is approximately 30 minutes long and extremely interesting for all ages. We loved watching bats being made, having one made for our son, exploring the gift shop, and browsing through the museum. The giant bat in front of the building provides a great photo op!

The tour was short - about a half hour - and it was so informative and really fun to see how the bats are really made. You can see and smell the sawdust you are that close. Tour guide was friendly and fun and the short videos they show you are done well and to the point. You learn everything from start to finish of how they make their bats. You can't see this anywhere else!

Everything you ever wanted to know about bats. We enjoyed our 1.5 hours there. The bat making tour was OK. I think we enjoyed the gift shop as much as anything. It is a fun thing to do. If you don’t expect too much you will enjoy it. I think it would have been more fun with kids.

My husband and I don't even like baseball that much but we thoroughly enjoyed the tour! We even go a commemorative mini bat!

The tour was interesting but rather short for the price of the ticket, which does include a mini bat to take home. It did keep my interest even though I'm not a baseball enthusiast like the high school boy I was with.
