This is a very special place indeed. It’s an extremely stylish and comfortable conversion of an old bull shed, unlike other boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts out there. Situated on the edge of the picturesque Malvern Hills, just a few miles from Ledbury and Malvern - it’s a really pretty and peaceful location, a great starting point for country walks. Everything at The Bull Shed has been well thought-through and there is nothing with which to find fault in the gorgeous room we took for the weekend - amazingly comfortable large bed with high quality bed linens, free standing large bath in the main room, as well a large shower, toilet and two basins in the well-equipped bathrooms. Products are (perhaps unsurprisingly!) by Cow Shed, and so are naturally very lovely. An assortment of high-end teas and a Nespresso coffee machine, as well as delicious ginger cookies, are provided in the room too. Wi-fi works well throughout. Curtains are thick so sleep in the amazing bed is as long as your body needs it to be - pure bliss! Breakfast is rather special - cooked to order by co-owner Amanda who is a talented chef, and exquisitely presented. It is taken in a room with huge windows overlooking the front of the property - a wonderful space to start off the day, - feasting whilst relaxing with the complimentary weekend papers, looking out to the sunny idyll beyond - one of the stand-out memories from our stay. The warmth of welcome at The Bull Shed is noteworthy - welcome drinks gifted, taxis booked, walking routes printed out - everything done to help you make the most out of your stay. This is one of the places you come back raving about. One weekend visit won’t be enough.

We visited The Bull Shed in February where we were met by Amanda and her team with a glass of well needed bubbles after a long journey. The barn is out of this world, Lee Jay and Amanda are great host’s, nothing is too much trouble.Everything about this house is luxury, from the living area to the bedrooms and don’t forget Amanda’s fabulous breakfast! I can’t wait to go back.

Thank you for a wonderful stay and the great restaurants that you recommended....

We will definitely be back!!!

We have been fortunate to stay in some beautiful places across the world, however this one is my favourite by far!

As you drive through the winding county lanes and take in the beautiful views of the Malvern hills you are reminded that you do not need to leave these shores in search of paradise! A bold statement I hear you say!! however let me tell you more....

As you pass the picturesque church of St James the Great on your right and an elegant Tudor house on your left, you may be misled to think you had missed it! Thankfully not, for as you pass the drive way to the Tudor house The Bull Shed makes it’s grand entrance. As you follow the drive and turn the corner on to the gravel drive Lee Jay & Amanda’s stunning home comes into full view.

At that very moment you know you are about to stay at somewhere very special (unfortunately my limited vocabulary kicks in here). As you open the beautiful glass front door and step inside you are greeted with a wave of calming music and aroma that takes a way any stress you had of every day life before you opened the door. Your eyes dart about this stunning vast open plan house taking in all of its well planned areas and beautifully decorated space... I say space because it doesn’t have walls to separate areas but as you walk through you know you are subconsciously moving from one room to another. From the WOW of the glass entrance hall, you pass through the TV / family snug, past the very cosy roaring fire and comfy sofas to the beautiful statement piece of the Black granite island. Every piece of furniture, every table, candle, picture and rug reflect the passion, hard work and love that our hosts have put into this simply stunning home.

Now our hosts... well what can I say! They are just like their home... warm and welcoming, like friends you have know for years. The level of detail that Lee Jay and Amanda have gone to ensure that your stay is both pleasurable and intuitive is second to none. Things like the welcome pack and info giving you details of the local tried and tested Gastro pubs (including taxi numbers) to the very fashionable reclaim yards such as 701 warehouse which is a must!

Our Room - Well it’s just as you would expect, it follows on from the very high standard of the rest of the house with its stunning views. A exceptionally comfy super king size bed, fitted with beautifully soft Egyptian white Cotton. Our room had a large modern bath at the bottom of the bed which regrettably we didn’t have time to enjoy, however the ensuite was superb.

Flying the Flag for local sustainability - Being a massive fan of local sustainability Lee Jay and Amanda have gone above and beyond to ensure this is met just check out the back if your breakfast menu in the morning, from local sausages, eggs, bacon, baked beans (yes that’s what I said!) to local wine from The three choirs in Newent and local beers which can all be found in the drinks fridge.

The Bull Shed Full Breakfast - The pictures on the website do not do it justice. Cooked and presented to perfection! You can choose a several lesser options however my advice is have the Full breakfast and skip lunch, you won’t regret it.

My last words - simply stunning in every way!

Note to self - must stay longer next time.

We just wanted to add to the excellent reviews the Bull Shed has already received with our own as it really is a wonderful place.
Thank you to Lee Jay and Amanda for being such fantastic hosts, you made the whole experience excellent and set a naturally warm and friendly environment in that spectacular barn.
A lot of hard work has been put in to ensure that maximum comfort is received from the high tech heating control system to the premium products and finishes.
My wife is pregnant and had a fantastic nights sleep as the beds are of high quality and the room was so pleasant, again you really can not fault the place.
We came away with big smiles and I’m sure you will too if you are lucky enough to stay here:)
