We stayed at the Days Inn by the Speedway recently so we could attend a KC Sporting Match.
Upon arriving at the hotel, the front desk receptionist, although very nice, looked like she was exhausted and moved very slowly. The front lobby wasn’t the best I’ve seen, and breakfast was lacking. They offered waffles, but no butter and the syrup container was empty. The pastries weren’t great and neither were the small muffins. They had warm eggs(not sure how fresh they were) and sausage as well as biscuits and gravy.
The room (219) was clean and the bed comfortable, but the pillows were way too soft, had to double it over just to get support. The bathroom tiles were cracked and there was a large crack in the wall surrounding the shower. You couldn’t lift the seat of the toilet all the way, because of the placement of the countertop, which caused it to just come back down. The shower needs some serious attention as almost no water came from the shower head, no matter which setting you forced it into.
Our refrigerator wasn’t on when we arrived, and we realized that the cord would come out of the wall to easily, shutting it off. We plugged it in, and were just very careful not to bump into it.
We didn’t have an opportunity to use the pool or fitness center, but they seemed small but ok. The hallways were very warm and stuffy and on our way down the stairs, there was a large spider on the wall.
If you need a place to stay that isn’t expensive and you don’t mind a little bit of a run down hotel, it would be fine. I don’t think we will be back, we will look elsewhere.

Room was nice but needed repairs (bathtub cracked, some small holes in wall, screw holes in wall not filled in). Overall stay was nice. Only problem was a smell on the first floor.
