OK - so I'm partial - as one of the many volunteers at Lighthouse Library. The Honeysuckle Lodge is a sustaining project for the local rural library. When funding dollars are very tight, what could be more fun than booking a stay here - and knowing that 100% of your dollars go to help fund a nonprofit? Anyway - the cabin was built by volunteers. It has a huge deck complete with a big gas grill & picnic tables. There's a little garden outside - help yourself to produce in season. Fire ring for S'Mores. The lighting inside is perfect. Three ceiling fans. Fun glass shower (all new structure). So pretty. Although it has a hunter's rugged appeal, it also has all the pretty things inside. A huge three-panel mirror for your photo opps. Deer mount. Bear deco rug. Unique color combinations of turquoise, orange, & brown. It's also a fun place for business day-retreats. There's a dining table, two couches, chairs, etc. Full kitchen complete with large refrigerator & separate deep freeze for your ice. It's clean. Cleaning service provided for extended stays free of charge. Ample bedding & towels. So fun!
Only 8 miles from the beautiful Dexter Waterfall at the state lake - take the scenic route south to find. Has full kitchen. Huge deck & outdoor fun. Use the private outdoor movie theater at the site. This cottage has a rustic bear theme. Safe & fun get-away. Reasonable price - with proceeds going to help fund a nonprofit library nearby.
