“The perfect getaway”
Reviewed 29 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

The perfect couples hideaway. Despite 4 seasons in a day with the weather, the cottage has been perfect in all respects with a lovely host. Snug, well equipped and close to 2 lovely beaches and the coast path, we have had a perfect Easter break, couldn't ask for more and already planning to return.

Thank you so much for taking time to give us such positive feedback we very much appreciate it. As you mentioned we do get four seasons in one day and the storms can be very dramatic. I hope you had a good journey back and look forward to seeing you here again.

“Wonderful place and lovely people - recommended.”
Reviewed 29 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

What brilliant place to stay, such a lovely welcome and beautifully presented accommodation, directions were spot on which was great as we arrived after sunset.

Everything you would need is there and the place was extremely clean and warm with all facilities available, we didn't want for anything. Wifi Broadband was a great facility to have also.

The nearest beach was very clean and a nice walk down the lane to get to it, some great views and scenery too which was good as we're both keen photographers and got some great shots.
Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

“WOW ! What a fantastic place”

What a gem of a holiday location, it is very quiet the passing traffic must be below 20 vehicles a day as there is only 4 or 5 properties at the road end about 400 metres past Hen Lletty.
The long sandy beach is perfect for children to play on, with rock pools on the headland between the beach and the next bay. Caution the rocks can be very slippery
The directions given to find the let are accurate as is the postcode location on the satnav, it took us right to the door. The last mile of road is single track and in places the drainage ditch is close to the edge so take it easy and it’s okay. In the whole week we only encountered 3 vehicles and had no problem passing them.
The let is perfectly presented, clean modern, and functional with a welcoming bottle of wine and a loaf of Bara Brith (declared as the best on Angelsey, if not in the whole of North Wales by my resident expert)
The wifi connection is first class and gave no problems at all. The mobile phone signal on “O2” was very good but a mobile on “Talk” had to be taken outside to obtain a usable signal.
We found the location perfect for the type of quiet away from it all holiday we planned.
Flamingo will definitely introduce herself, she doesn’t like apple but enjoys a good crunchy carrot preferably not broken in half.
Woody and friend will definitely greet you when you return at the end of the day with lots of Woof and wagging tails
As mentioned in other reviews the light switches will present you with entertainment.
A highly recommended location 5 stars for definite.

“All You Could Ask For”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Hen Llety is a one bedroom cottage in the middle of the beautiful countryside of Anglesey and only a 5 minute walk from a beautiful quiet beach where you can watch the ferries come and go from Holyhead to Ireland. Hen Llety itself is immaculate, comfortable and provides everything you need for a holiday where you can do as much or as little as you like. The owner, Bea, is a lovely friendly lady who will always ensure your stay is one to remember.

“Away from it all - but close enough to plenty”
Reviewed 26 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

It was evening of the day before we travelled that we found Hen Llety online. We were concerned that we weren't giving the owner chance to get back to us. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an email very quickly and full directions and instructions soon after making payment.

Those directions made Hen Llety easy to find - though if you are a nervous driver, the single-track road that leads you to the property may seem daunting. We met vehicles on two occasions and there's no problem if you take your time and concentrate.

We received a warm welcome from the owner who showed us around the property, which does not take long. It seems small but it's deceptive - after a very short time, we appreciated the size of the bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen/diner and they are all big enough. Add in the generous parking space and the large patio area (with sun loungers and barbecue) and you really won't feel cramped here. I'll just say this - my wife and I started to wonder if we could live in a space like this and get rid of some/most of our current clutter.

It's spotlessly clean and the rooms are very well appointed. Once you have worked out which switch controls which light, you have Freeview (and Freesat - make sure you don't overlook that), plus a DVD player and stereo. You can get comfortable very quickly. And we did.

The view over the farmland from the large double door reminds you that you are removed from urban life but nowhere takes very long to reach by car. If we hadn't stopped on the way, I think we could have got there from Beaumaris in maybe 40 minutes.

Holyhead is not far and, thanks to the A55, nowhere on the island is hard to reach. Your nearest petrol is on the way to Cemaes, maybe 15 minutes away. Try to see Cemaes if you can and seek out Llynnon Mill. It's the only working windmill remaining in Wales. And it works hard - the day before we went they had milled a 1/2 ton of flour! We were lucky enough to see it running when we went and were utterly enchanted by it.

The nearest beach (Trefadog or 'Sandy' Beach) is about 10-12 minutes walk and from there you can follow the coastal path round to Church Bay. Parts of the path are overgrown but you can follow it easily enough. At Cable Beach, the path goes straight ahead in the direction you're going - don't let the signs mislead you. It's worth pushing on to Church Bay for the views and for the Wavecrest Café, which I'll mention in a separate review. I should point out that there are two points on this walk where you find yourself in a field with cows - you'll know when you get to them. We took it very gently, and found a way to avoid them on the way back. A decent map should help you do the same if you don't like to share your walks.

In short, a few days here and you'll feel like you have had a break and seen something different. We would not hesitate to revisit this relaxing spot on a lovely island.
