We read bout this place on TA and it sounded kitschy and fun. It was just dingy and loud with generally average food. The broasted chicken was very good as was the corn chowder soup. The thin cut onion rings were pretty good as well. The other items our diners ordered: sweet potato fries, BLT and roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy were average at best. The service was rushed and it was just too bloomin' loud to even talk to the person next to you...not what a group of friends want when they go out to dinner. Yes it's a retro place with a ba-jillion and one beer types but there has to be more than that. I would say it would be fun for a quick look-see and a brew (pop in next door to the "lounge" for another blast from the past), but save your pennies and eat someplace else.
