The Good: Great location, reasonable price for weekend stay in Indy. Very cool old building.

The Bad:
The carpets throughout were dirty - hallways, common rooms, etc. The carpet in our room had popcorn kernels, bits of trash, food crumbs, etc. all over it.
There was a chair in our room that was covered in water stains. We put it in the closed because it was nasty.
There was mold growing up the wall of the shower and in the channel of the door.
When they replaced our towels, they only gave us 2 for 4 people. When I asked for more at the desk, the lady laughed and said they hadn't had anyone to do laundry the day before. She did supply me with 2 more towels.

Overall, we were disappointed that such a beautiful old building was being neglected with poor housekeeping. We won't stay there again.

I love this place, incredibly beautiful historic building.
But I won't go back. There's something VERY bad there. I was up all night sicker than I've been in forever.
I know residual hauntings. There's nothing residual there.
If you go, don't mess with paranormal stuff. I mean it.

I loved the unique setting and historic building! The area is beautiful and lots of areas to walk or run, and this is a well maintained classic building from it's days as a military base. A building like this demands a lot of upkeep, and they do a good job with that. Our room was large, with a separate sun-porch area, enclosed, and a desk, chairs and TV there. Large bathroom, with multi-headed shower. Hotel was very quiet, and the staff was always nice. We had an issue with the TV remote in the main room not working well, and it was taken care of for us. We were there for 5 nights, and enjoyed it. Location was good for us, attending an event at the Fairgrounds. Pretty easy to get to the airport (about 30 minutes). Price was good, and liked being in a place different than a chain hotel. Great spot if you want to be away from the city.

Older WWII-era building situated on golf course and historical sight. Buildings formerly used for military and hospital personnel. Main building rooms large and spacious. Comfortable beds. Flat screen TV. Free wi-fi, parking and breakfast.

Room Tip: People looking for modern day facility will be disappointed. Environment and atmosphere is drawing card.

In the area for business the next few days, arrived early so went to park. It has walking and bike trails both paved and dirt paths. Park was clean and easy to get around. Has a historical area which we missed since we found it after it closed. Several nearby places to eat. Saw playground for children.
