We booked this winery for a lunch with wine tasting. This is it small family winery out in the countryside of Luca. It is beautiful location with wonderfully relaxing views and very helpful and friendly staff. We had a light lunch which was a lot of homegrown vegetables and local bread with four bottles of their wine. We were never rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the meal, wine and atmosphere. After the lunch we were taking them on a tour of their olive oil production facilities and were educated in how olive oil was produced and how to tell the quality. We enjoyed this winery and experience and recommend it as a nice afternoon activity while visiting Lucca area.

This amazing olive farm, resort, winery, cooking school on a picturesque estate dating back to the 15th century provides all the flavors of Tuscany in one location... (even if it is a bit challenging to find). If you are visiting in or near the Lucca/Barga area, book a tasting or a class and have an amazing .eal with a spectacular view. You will leave with wine, and olive oil.... feeling just a bit more Italian!

I was staying near Gugliano and drove to Colle Verde with an arranged group of 6. The location is breathtaking. We had a tour of the olive oil processing area and the wine area which was small but very interesting. The olive oil and wine tasting with Mirko was fun and very educational!

We used the fattoria as accommodation for the wedding of two friends and stopped with their family members and other friends. The location and surroundings are remarkable, and totally worth the stay.
On the other hand, I was quite disappointed to arrive with a suitcase full of creased shirts in an apartment which didn't have its own iron and ironing board. Fortunately the staff all around during the week were extremely friendly and helpful, and I was shown to a small laundry room (also used by staff however).
The swimming pool was also a disappointment, having gone uncleaned for quite a while by the look of things. There was a small pool net, but the number of dead flies floating was offputting enough, and then there was all the moss/muck in the bottom of the pool which couldn't be removed. It was pleasant to relax around its side though.
Don't be put off staying here, but do be aware it's the sort of basic accommodation where you fend for yourself and even have to provide your own toilet roll!

Did an arranged group tour. Guided tour of the olive oil processing area and then the winery. Nice lunch accompanied by the olive oil and wines that are produced on the site.
Absolutely a beautiful location and well worth the hour drive from Florence.
