If your looking for a peaceful break away a weekend or a week this beautiful cabin set in the lakes is breathtaking!!
We have been so many times and will continue to do so.
We have come with and without our children but they love spending time here trying to wake up very early to catch the deer outside very close to the cabin.
The swing set at the bottom of the pathway is very popular as well with our children.
The pool is just a few minutes walk away and very warm and welcoming with its own steam room, its a must..
There are leaflets provided within the cabin for ideas of the beautiful walks you can go on.
There are just endless amount of beautiful surroundings that are a must..
We can't wait to go back.
☆☆☆☆☆ 5 star quality..
After visiting the Cabin our second time, we love this place!, we have been in November and the scenery is breath taking, we decided to try the summer season to make use of the BBQ/ decking area, the scenery is very different from the winter scenery, ( recommend for everyone to try)
The kids have a fantastic time with use of the indoor heated swimming pool, which was included in the price, The cabin is very cosy and family friendly. There is use of a range of board games/ wifi to keep everyone entertained. Overall the log cabin is very clean, well maintained, a spacious bathroom and few extras I.e dishwasher, tumble dryer ,iron.
Location:
Very rural which is what we enjoy.
Secure
Views are breathtaking.
Every town is within driving distance.
Maps are to hand for fantastic walks which are local to the cabin.
Lots of wildlife/animals
Not many pubs/shops in walking distance but drinking on the decking is a bonus so no one has to drive.
The things we enjoyed most:
The waterfalls, gingerbread in Grassmere, wild deer asleep by the cabin, red squrrials, swimming pool, the views, boat rides and jets flying over lake Windermere.
We will be booking for November/December 2016 weekend break for the Christmas lights switch on, see Santa and fireworks in Bowness on Windermere

A great 7 day break in the lake district - one of the only times that it rained most of the time and didn't detract from the holiday at all. Walks in the fresh air, down by the lakes, up in the mountains, games at the table while it poured down, a dip in the pool, some table tennis, the whole week passed in a flash.
Reliable fast wifi was a boon for kids, great local pub grub and nice people, what more could you want.
The one tip I'd offer is to do a BIG shop at a national supermarket on the way up, as local prices can be scary when buying a lot of food.
My wife and I stayed in Blelham Tarn for a lovely weekend. The cabin was pretty, well equipped, warm and in a great location. Great for touring the lakes in general but the attractive site is in a super position with lovely walks straight from your front door. Found some great pubs nearby for food - like the excellent Drunken Duck at Barngates. It was a great place to stay for the weekend except we wish we could have stayed longer..
