My husband and I stayed here overnight after attending our granddaughter's birthday party. We arrived later in the evening, but I had prebooked and prepaid for our room. We were promptly greeted at the front desk, and our check-in was efficient. Our room was on the first floor, near the rear door. I had booked a king room, but we were given a king suite, so that was a nice surprise. The living room was spacious and comfortable with a ceiling fan (nice bonus), large couch and chair, flat screen TV, refrigerator and microwave. The king bed was comfortable, and the window had room-darkening shades for privacy. We were told that the hotel was booked to capacity with several groups of youth sports teams, family reunions, and wedding guests, so we were prepared for noise. We could hear little feet running and jumping in the room above us, but we always travel with a fan for white noise, so the noise was mostly drowned out and had stopped by bedtime. Our bathroom was clean and had all of the amenities. Our check-out process was seamless. We didn't have the complimentary breakfast because we were going to breakfast with our son and his family. I really don't have anything negative to say about the hotel, and we will definitely stay here again, particularly because it is only about 10 minutes from our son's house when we can't stay with them.

Professional, genuine hospitality. Room very clean, good bath amenities. Nice breakfast options. Near the tollway, full-service restaurant adjacent, special rate for guests related to hospital stays at Advocate Sherman nearby.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting an elderly relative in the area. The room was mostly nice with a modern flat screen television and comfortable beds. The main reason for my mediocre rating is the carpet in our room was spotted in several places (fairly big spots at that). But the shower was decent as was the wifi connection. And the breakfast was decent if not great. The fair rate had me very close to a four rating.

Not too bad but not really good, so it falls somewhere in the middle. I went with family so we got two rooms, 1 King Suite and 1 Double Queen room. Overall I would say that this hotel needs some touch ups. There was peeling paint, scuffs, cracks and stains. I also found a spider in the King Suite bathroom. You are able to hear everything going on in the halls from inside the room as well as all the foot steps above you. There is a side door to the hotel to get to the rooms that you are supposed to use a key card to enter with but it was broken so the door is always unlocked (scary that anyone who wants to enter can) and slams shut every time someone walks through it (loud and annoying if staying in a room close to it, which we were).

We had the unfortunate displeasure of deal with a certain manager who was not really professional nor hospitable. We booked two rooms as part of a block and upon arrival found out that they were on separate floors so our family got split up and that was annoying. This manager was not apologetic at all and simply said they were very busy that weekend.

The breakfast, though small, was still very nice to have. The pool was on the cooler side but still enjoyable and the hot tub was up to par. The location is not bad, there were trails behind the hotel for walking or biking. The main road, Randall Rd, seems to have a lot going on so you don't need to drive far to find something to do.

Room Tip: Ground floor the loudest

For the most part, I really only have petty complaints. WiFi is very spotty, often disconnecting and making it difficult to load pages. Some strange smell on the second floor at the top of the stairs. But the staff friendliness, hot breakfast (small), clean facility, comfortable beds and pillows, all make it worth staying. They are also accommodating our large group for an evening pot luck dinner. This was much better than our experience in Crystal Lake last year, which was the worst Country Inn & Suites I had ever seen.
