Well what more can you say ... The way that the city has been built - keeping the amazing heritage skyscrapers and having them juxtaposed against the glassy new towers. Impressive!

You can get some beautiful views of the skyline from several different places: Skydeck Willis Tower, John Hancock Building Bar or Restaurant, Shedd Aquarium, or an architectural tour by boat. We went on the Windy of Chicago and loved the views. .

Chicago is known for its skyline with icons of architecture represented. There are guided walks and guided cruises through the Chicago Arhitecture Society, look on their website and contact them for tickets ahead of time if you can.

We were out on the museum campus and you can really see the skyline from there. It is fun to make out the buildings by share--so many Chicago buildings have a distinctive shape.
