Always a good time. Being from the suburbs of Chicago, this wasn’t my first visit. This was the first time getting to take the kids to the top, and they really enjoyed getting to see the city from a different point of view. They were afraid of the glass ledges that you can walk out on, but I think they are a great addition to the Skydeck.

The line was wrapped around the building.... literally. Once inside you remain in line, but as you move up each floor has history on the walls, painted with history lessons as well as trivia questions. The information covers arts, sports, city landmarks, athletes and other known historians. Definitely a distraction worth having as you wait until its your turn to step in to the glass standing over the city! I would definitely do it again!

We spent a total of 3 hours here, 2.5 or more was spent waiting in a line. Took a little over an hour to get to the top because of the line to the elevator, then waited in line for a picture on the ledge (no way to pay to go faster here), and then another line to get down. I wasn’t expecting all the waiting so it threw off our day, granted we did general admission, the city pass would’ve made the first line go much quicker. The view is very cool but just expect to wait in line, we went on a Sunday at 11 am.

We always have friends and family visiting during the year and we always take them to Willis for a nice family/group photo with a nice view of the city.
In my view Willis is great for taking nice pictures of large groups in the glass cubes, however 360 Chicago @Hancock offers a nicer view of the city by the lake.
If you have time and budget, definitely suggest doing both, if you have to choose one, I prefer Willis.
