A Gem of a Campground

Review of Wallace RV Park
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 27 Sept 2020
We were fortunate to get a spot on the creekside at this campground. It was so restful to listen to the water right outside our trailer. Campground is right next to the bike trail and walkable to downtown. Bathrooms/showers were very clean and Steve was most helpful when we had questions. Would stay here again if in the area.

One of north Idaho's truly historic towns, Wallace offers hiking the Pulaski trail; Silver mine tours, historical tour of Wallace and much much more. The RV park is small but offers a few cabins, excellent shower and bath facilities and nearby restaurant and bar. All of Wallace is within walking distance although there's a nice bike trail toward Mullan, ID. where we saw moose! The Park also provided a small library of videos and DVDs and very helpful staff.

Room tip: There's 20 spots along the creek and 20 along the road. You can't go wrong with any.

Had a fantastic time staying at the Wallace RV Park with our Camper during Wallace's Annual Huckleberry Festival. If you've never been to Wallace, your missing out. It's a very old town with lots of History. The RV park was very clean, located nest to a stream and our site sat right alongside it, so you could hear the water at night. Very relaxing. It has full hook-ups and nice clean showers and bathrooms. One of the things we really enjoyed was the restaurant that is part of the park. They had great food and custom beers. Have to admit we over indulged a bit on the beers, but hey...it's a vacation right! I ran into many friendly people and some other Vets. All in all a Great place to stay and visit. They also have small cabins for rent. If you've never been, give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Room tip: Reserve early as it fill up quickly.

We needed a last minute RV site to ride the Hiawatha Trail the next day. Phone call was returned immediately and we had a lovely site along the creek - listened to the water on the creek all night long. Some places just have a great feel - Wallace RV Park is one of those places! Hope to return!

Arrived in Wallace with enough time to explore the town. The park is small with spaces and a few cabins. We backed the 5th wheel in with no problem. There's a small stream that runs thru, with foot bridges. The pub is located at the entrance, offering food and liquid relief from a long drive. Bath houses and laundry are available. The town is quaint, and made for a great walk with the dogs.

We stayed here after riding the Hiawatha Trail. There is no grass & the sites are small. We had a street lamp shining in the window. We wished we'd camped in the forest at the end of the trail. Their fee is for 2 people. They charge per person after the 1st 2.
