Shoshone Falls is taller than Niagara Falls. It has been a Scenic draw for Idaho for the past 100 years. Folks came from back East out here via Railroad and then Stagecoach just to see this wonder on the Snake. The only bad thing about it is that there are several dams up stream and the water flow gets cut down in the summer due to irrigation draws from the river. But if you make it by Memorial Day, the co-operation of Idaho Power dams and Irrigation companies will send a tremendous flow over these falls for a Spectacular Show. But also, don't miss the Twin Falls that is just upstream about two miles. Many things to be seen and watched while in Twin Falls, Idaho. After all, this is the canyon that Evil Kinevil did his famous canyon jump over.

Don’t pass through Twin Falls without going to see the falls. They are magnificent. There is a very nice park with good picnic areas at the end of the access road.

Definitely worth a stop if you are in, near or driving by Twin Falls, Idaho. The Falls are gorgeous and we even got to see a double rainbow. It was $3 for the vehicle fee but it is well worth the cost. The road that winds down to the parking lot is a little narrow so be cautious of large vehicles sharing the same road going the opposite direction. There are plenty of good spots to view the falls, a gift/snack shop, information boards, but only a couple of port-a-potties. I highly recommend stopping here!

First, check the Internet to make sure all the falls are running. Sometimes the water from the upriver Miller Dam is diverted for irrigation. It’s a miniature Victoria Falls, and well worth visiting. Only $3 per car fee, it offers incomparable views, plus restrooms and picnic areas. A true natural wonder. Try visiting before the end of June to ensure all the falls are running.
