Ken’s Cabin was a very nice getaway for our family with two sons, 19 and 14 years old. We took a chance on this un-reviewed cabin and was not disappointed. We had a great time in McCall and this cabin was a comfortable retreat after active days in the area. The Cabin was as advertised with the exception of a few minor tweaks. If you have a traditional family that likes to take walks around a wooded neighborhood and want to be close to McCall this is a great little cabin. The boys would have liked a little more woods to play in, but mountain biking in Ponderosa State Park satisfied that want.
The suitability section recommends the renter ASK for Wheelchair access and Elder Access. There are a lot of stairs, and I wouldn’t expect my mother with bad knees to be able to get up the steps to the ground floor. In my opinion, there is NO way a person in a wheelchair can get up to the cabin. I recommend it should say no, not ask.
The cabin is well stocked with towels, everything you need in the kitchen and the appliances were in very good condition. There was plenty of hot water for all of us to shower without issue. The grill out back was nice and did the trick for the night we cooked sausages and hot dogs.
There is the furniture on the front porch which included a table with bench seating for all four that we enjoyed eating on one evening. These were a nice addition and were not in the owner’s images.
Overall my family was very pleased and would most certainly reconsider renting here again. Anyone considering a cabin in McCall should check it out.
