Historic hotel set in the middle of Kellogg Town where it's easy to imagine gunfights, saloon brawls and horses stomping their feet. I believe the hotel was the top storey of a saloon and can only imagine that many a happy cowboy walked down the stairs (wink, wink). Our room was large, overlooking the main street. It had a microwave and fridge and sink in one half and a TV, bed and easy chair in the other half. The bathroom had a shower (no tub) and lovely, fluffy new towels. The accommodation was clean where seen (inside drawers/ behind furniture quite grubby). Decor is dated but the furniture was quaintly antique/period. It was quite noisy with the refrigerator and air conditioning on but the comfortable, clean bed ensured a good night's sleep. The host was friendly and informative, guiding us to local facilities and restaurants. There's a laundry on-site. This is a budget hotel but it's uniqueness, quirkiness and friendly atmosphere won us over. We were going to book it again at the end of our trip but it was booked out.
