The best thing about this resort is the location. Right on the beach near the pier with great views from our unit. Tybee Island is beautiful and just a short drive to Savannah. This resort looked nice from the outside, but the rooms are old and desperately need refurbished. Our room was not very clean. Floors were filthy and there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The walls are paper thin so it's very loud. Luckily we only had neighbors the first night so we were able to sleep. The resort's gate was broken the entire time we were there so the resort was not secure and the parking is extremely limited. This resort is best for college students on Spring Break. No extras here...just a pool. Not the kind of resorts that we expect from RCI. Pretty disappointed in the resort but we still had a great time. Best places to visit included National Mighty Eight Air Force Museum, Fort Jackson and Savannah's River Street. Favorite restaurants included The Flying Fish, Lady & Sons, and Boar's Head Grill & Tavern.

We both needed to spend some downtime after a week of business meetings in Florida. I made the reservation direct with Tybrisa.

The place is located as close as you can get to the beach without being on the beach. It’s a timeshare operation that rents the units when the owners aren’t using them. It was built around 1983 and has been maintained in very good condition over the years. The common areas, building exterior and parking are in great shape.

Our unit was a 2 bedroom two bath setup. The master bath was right off the bedroom which has a queen or king (don’t recall) bed. It has a great tub but the shower is a molded unit that’s too small for my liking. The guest bathroom that serves the other bedroom with two double beds is a full bath with just a shower as opposed to shower/tub like the master. The shower is a bit larger so i used it as my default. The master bedroom has a wall mounted TV.

The living room is adequate and has a TV and DVD player, both with remotes. The breakfast area and kitchen are also of good size. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, ice maker, double sink, disposer, toaster, blender, coffee maker, utensils, plates, etc.

The balcony looks out to the ocean. Our unit’s view of the ocean was partially blocked by the Tybee Island pier and pavilion. We were on the first level above street level.

There is an IGA grocery store a half mile north on the main road that’s clean, well stocked and staffed by very nice people. I recommend it.

The facility is secured with key card operated front gate. There are additional passageway gates to the beach that also require your room key so it’s a good idea to always have that with you.

The office staff has been on duty here for many years. They’re friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and we enjoyed staying here. The price was very reasonable. Rates vary based on the time of year, as with just about any coastal rental property.

My husband and I have owned a timeshare here for many years. We love Tybrisa, convenient to many things. Plus it's beach front, ya can't get much better then that. Heated pool, gym, rec room and steps to shopping, restaurants and the beach.

Stayed here for a week because of the view. I was disappointed in the facility as well as the outdated decor in the units but the views were so beautiful it was hard to ignore. The timeshare was inadequately supplied with the usual paper needs, blankets for the chilly nights and less than appealing decor. The staff however did try to make up for this. Know that you will have to request for things that should automatically be left in room for use.Every unit gets an ocean view which was a plus.

We count the days to spend another week at Tybrisa each August. Again this year, perfect. The weather was great, the pool was wonderful (we spent a lot of time in the pool), the entire complex is top notch. The staff, from the GM Toni to Robert, Tim, Joe, Jerry and the rest...they do such a great job in making sure you enjoy your vacation while at Tybrisa and just make you feel relaxed and so very welcomed to be there. They are all working very hard to make sure that everything there is up to the gold star standards where there is nothing you would want for. Spending a few days or a week here, you need nothing but the clothes on your back (and there are washers and dryers in each unit) and whatever food you want to eat, everything else is provided. Right across for the pier and pavilion and the Atlantic Ocean, yet in a secure, gated and private area with a pool, grill and patio area and playground. You feel safe and secure while there and are within easy walking distance of most everything on the island. We just can't say enough good about Tybrisa and yes, we are already counting the days till next August.

Room Tip: Every room has a balcony and view of the ocean.
