Only stayed for a short night as our flight departed at 5AM from JRO airport. Check-in process was fine. The room was, at first sight, OK. Lots of ants at the door, few spiders in the bathroom, at least 2 lizards on the wall and a thousand legger on the ceiling. The AC worked, but blew quite humid air. The bathroom seemed untidy - there were used contact lenses on the floor, the soap and shampoo dispensers were squished and sticky with used. The mosquito net did not close properly.
Then, the restaurant. Food: lamb and pork were though beyond repair, the butter smelled like goat cheese (sign of spoiled butter). To top it off, they charged us 2USD for water (we learned it when checking out as they did not tell us).
If it were only for the above, I would have still have given it more than 1 star. The worst of the worst, was that upon waking up in the morning, I saw a big ANT in my bed. Turns out I got bitten quite a number of times on my ankles, arms and neck during the night (exposed areas).
To be fair, the shuttle was on time to the airport and they gave us breakfast boxes in morning since we had to leave early. What a disappointment as the location gives this hotel humongous potential.
Do not go there unless necessary or tight on budget.More
