“Very comfortable cottage, lovely garden and sea views from front windows!”
Reviewed 11 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We were well placed for visiting Sheringham, especially important for us the steam railway to Holt. We also visited the light railway at Wells Next the Sea which runs through the countryside to the Christian Shrine village of Walsingham. The old station building has been converted to a small Russian Orthodox Chapel and also has a Railway Museum.
We spent some time at Holkham Hall Deerpark and took a tractor trailer ride around the grounds, but the highlight for us was a boat trip out to Blakeney Point to see the Grey and Common Seals basking on the beach - absolutely fantastic! So much more to see, we may need to go again!

Thank you for coming to stay at Sea View Cottage, Gillian - it sounds like you had a busy but fun week! The seals on Blakeney Point are one of our favourite local sights, too - one or two of them sometimes swim eastwards and can be seen close inshore off the beach down the end of the lane from the cottage (as well as plenty of interesting birds there too). Hope you make it to Kelling again!

Beautiful garden at back, very nice kitchen and dining space, comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, one downstairs. Good location for various beaches. Handy for restaurants and pubs. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances easy to use.
Good information available pre-arrival.

Only downside was.mobile.phones as it was impossible to get a connection but this was actually quite relaxing! We.went for a lovely run sat morning goes down path opposite which took us straight to.beach
Ate at.dun cow.sat night which was lovely. Sadly we had to.leave sure night after event as hard work to get back for. Would come again so.can.recommend.(even met.a bat in porch!) Wildlife is beautiful

Glad you had a great time at the cottage, Sam, and enjoyed the garden and beach too. We haven't seen that bat before, so it sounds like you were lucky! We often see Barn Owl at dusk and hear Tawny Owls calling during the night. Mobile phone reception is best on the top floor, in the garden or on the beach, but it's also possible to make and receive calls using the free wifi in the living room.
