My husband is currently stationed overseas and was lucky enough to come back to the states to take a class at FLETC. We visited St. Simons Island earlier this year when he graduated and stayed in a hotel. I knew that wouldn't work for the six of us for an entire week so I decided on this condo. I have four kids (14,13,9, and 8) and this two bedroom condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of closet space and dresser space to unpack everyone's clothing. The younger kids slept on the pullout, and the older kids took the bedroom. Everyone had a TV and room to stretch out and do their own thing. The condo is fully stocked with everything you could need. I have stayed in resorts in the past where we needed measuring cups and small things like that, but that is not the case here. There has not been one thing we needed that we didn't have.
This is by no means a five-star resort, and we have stayed in nicer condos, but it has worked for us. Ocean Walk is within walking distance to a large park, some awesome trees for photos, and the beach (and St. Simmons Sweets shop which you have to visit). There is a small gym and a heated pool which we have been able to use once since we got here because it has been a little cool. Overall this is a quiet and peaceful place. It's only a short drive over to Brunswick (where you will find a mall, more restaurants, and FLETC).
