My husband and I are seniors and we visited on July 4th because they were open. There are a lot of hands-on activities for kids and they had a lot of nice items in their gift shop. If you stay inside, it's air conditioned. If you go outside to the Turtle Rehabilitation Center, it's hot!

Very pricey for the experience, we were through in less than an hour which included time at the gift shop as well.

We were scheduled for an evening Turtle Walk but a storm with lightening cause it to cancel. We went back the next day and toured the center and saw the rehab turtles. Great gift shop. I'm fascinated with the Loggerheads and have read several books. I plan to return in August and take an early morning walk with the hopes of seeing a hatching. I've seen lots of marked nests over the years but never a nesting turtle, a crawl or a hatching. It's a dream.

A must see for families with small children or teens especially if your family loves nature! Our grandson wants a career in vet medicine, so this was a perfect place to introduce him to aquatic life and the need for specialists in that area.
