Interesting beach with numerous gnarled petrified trees. You won't see anything like this on most beaches. Good place for shells. Don't miss this beach on Jekyll Island.

Fantastic beach to walk off your stress and learn how to relax again. Strolling past the barren trees and huge pieces of fallen trees was such a unique experience. Took our dog with us, since it is a pet friendly beach. The sand is packed well, so our 12 year old lab had no problem getting around.
We stayed in a condo near the beach. We never felt any apprehension about covid during our time there. Good for couples and families.

The title says it all. Pictures online just don't do this place justice.

I had build this beach up in my mind and, shockingly, it did not disappoint.

There was a good amount of parking along the road, but I never did see a sign, just knew the general area and knew to look for parking along the roadside. It was easy enough to locate based off that information.

I could have spent the whole day here, exploring. Lots of space to spread out, lots of trees to explore. The water is so calm inn this spot.

This is just a must see - it would be at the top of my list for first timers.
