My wife and I arrived in much need of a relaxing getaway. Unfortunately the GPS took us down a single lane gravel road for over a mile before we arrived at the cabin, and the gravel road happened to be the road the cabin was on. Not a huge deal for us since we were in a 4x4 Dodge Ram, but for smaller vehicles and weather pending, this may be an issue. Luckily the cabin is the 2nd driveway if you come in from the main highway end of the road, so we used that highway for access the rest of the trip.
The driveway is gravel, but not terribly steep. We found the cabin itself to be very cozy and with just enough privacy. The fans were running, AC was on, hot tub was hot, and overall everything was very clean and kept.
The living room has a wood burning fireplace (we didn't need it as outside temps were near 80), a nice leather sofa with recliners, eating area, and flat screen tv. Cable television helped keep us occupied when needed.
The back porch is screened in and features a hot tub, patio furniture, and even a small tv. The jets worked and there were even lights inside the hot tub. It made for a great means of unwinding after a long day of traveling and sight seeing.
The kitchen has all the typical accessories such as cookware and eating utensils, fridge, coffee maker, etc. There was even a basket with other kitchen items for use promoting either the rental agency or some affiliation with the owners. These were bottle toppers, pot/pan toppers, and other custom made utensils. They were interesting to sift through.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms, both with a flat screen tv, and the larger bed being in the master bedroom of course. The rooms are somewhat small, but give enough room to unpack and sleep/relax while watching the tv or the back of your eyelids. We didn't sleep in the smaller room, but the master bed was comfortable and clean.
The bathroom was a typical bathroom, nothing special to mention other than the bathroom goodies that again are being promoted. It was a very nice touch and judging by feedback from other customers (there's a guest diary in the living room that was again an awesome touch), the goodies have been very well received.
Our only complaint of the cabin was the electrical quirks. Namely the switches. None of the ceiling fans could be turned off without using the pull strings, that goes for the fans and lights on the fans. The light switches in the kitchen control the front porch lights, flood lights, and kitchen light. The bathroom switch controlled the bathroom light. Other than that, none of the other wall switches controlled anything. These were the only complaints we had.
Overall it was a great cabin, very cozy and relaxing with just enough privacy and only a short 5-7 min ride to Main Street. We'd definitely stay here again.
