Very clean and plenty of room for our family of six. Kids loved the hot tub and nascar racing video game. Thank you for a great last minute mountain get away!
Ok. So what if the AC was not quite working as well as it should...and so what if the loft toilet didn't flush too well...and so what if we had to repair the pedal plate on the PS3 racing cockpit chair...this place was AWESOME! Those little nitpicky items were well outweighed by the beautiful cabin with its neat decorations and gorgeous wood floors, the very welcome hot tub and jacuzzi plenty big enough for us four adults, the fully operational kitchen with microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer, exceptionally clean bathrooms - one in the loft and one downstairs, and the great fire pit area with a wooden picnic table and a cozy hammock. The woods are within a few yards of the cabin on all sides. A good mountain view is only available from the upper windows on the loft level. The gravel driveway can be problematic for smaller cars which need to stay on the middle and edge of the drive so as not to scrape their undersides. This was truly a great weekend place for us since we were visiting Tallulah Falls State Park and Gorge, Unicoi State Park with Anna Ruby Falls, and Amicalola Falls State Park. The town of Clarkesville is about 6 miles away with lots of stores and restaurants. Recommend a place called Ingles...great place to do one-stop-shopping for supplies. Back to the cabin...the wrap around deck is great and allows for use of the gas grill (we grilled hamburgers on the first night) and the hot tub which has all the bells and whistles in terms of lighting, temperature, and jet flow controls. It was very clean and not over chlorinated. Very peaceful and quiet at night. We very much enjoyed the view of the stars at night as we soaked in the jacuzzi. Zero light pollution! One final thing, I want to thank the owner, Heikki, for being so kind as to drive on his motorcycle, from Atlanta, in rush-hour traffic, to provide us with a key. He called me as we were travelling to the cabin and said that the last renter failed to leave the key in the lock-box. We got there and about 45 minutes later, Heikki arrived and got us inside. We used the time to explore the area and walk up the mountain trail behind the cabin. We even made a new friend while we were there. A beautiful cat bounded up the deck stairs and played us like a fiddle! He left full of milk and hamburger every night. Please rent this place. You will not regret it for a second!

My husband requested that we leave Atlanta and rent a cabin for his Birthday weekend somewhere within close proximity of mountains and hiking trails. This cabin was absolutely perfect! It offered everything we wanted plus extra perks like a hot tub, PS3 and a fire pit (although we need to work on our fire starting skills especially the night after a heavy rain!) We loved the "wall of windows" and the loft view of the mountains. And it only took us a little over an hour from Snellville in Gwinnett Co. GA. Heavenly!
This cozy little cabin was the perfect place for a weekend getaway with my man, friends and our pups! Everything that we hoped for! the views were amazing, the hot tub was relaxing and the cabin was adorable! We will be back!
