We attended a Sarasota Orioles game, to see a local kid from Ohio playing for the Boston red sox, great day ,free parking & free entry. Kids loved the $5 hot dog deal. Will definitely return.

The stadium for the Orioles Spring training has free parking and free entry. They also give free tours, but we were there for the Family Fun Day. They had games to play for prizes, merchandise for sale, friendly workers everywhere, and we sat right behind home plate!

I will address a non- baseball related activity although it is a great place to see a game too.
Last night we saw the Sarasota Pops Orchestra do there final performance of the season. What a great place to attend a concert. It was also a fantastic program with a fireworks display worthy of the Fourth of July. One of the many reasons we chose to make our home here.

Spring Training baseball is all about new beginnings. When you attend a Spring Training game you feel young again with a new season in front of you. If you are here in Florida during Spring Training, you should take in a game.
Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota is one of the nicer ballparks to do just that. Recently renovated with a large crew of people helping you find your seat or whatever you are looking for, it is a great fan experience. Try for a seat in the shade, as the sun can get hot here in Southwest Florida.

Comfortable seats, great staff, yummy snacks! What else could you wish for in a baseball park? The parking is easy, coming and going. And friendly perople? The best!
