If you like Authentic Italian you will not be disappointed. Carrie and the other servers were pleasant and helpful and the food is delicious! Don’t skip dessert, homemade from scratch and out of this world!

The best Italian food we’ve had south of Arthur ave. Ravioli was great and home made sauce extraordinary. Chicken parmigiana was soft and tender, simply melted in your mouth. Angel hair pasta cooked perfectly. And let’s not forget the great service by Carrie. Owners very friendly and nvolved making sure all was perfect as we talked about our old Rosedale neighborhood.

Hint portions are huge. Leave room by the HONE made desserts

Having lived in Italy for three years, we rarely find a restaurant in the US that produces the incredible food we enjoyed in small Mom and Pop restaurants throughout Italy. Sadly, although St Augustine has many fine restaurants - including some Americanized Italian places, we've found no genuine Italian. We tried Casa Benedetto's Ristorante based on the reviews.

Located in Vilano Beach, Casa Benedetto's has a unassuming appearance. The interior is quaint, simple and comfortable - similar to eating in a person's home. Soft background music gives the place a nice ambience. The while linen table clothes are pure Italian, and we got our first hint that we found a special place when we were served our small house salads - the house dressing had a flavor that I hadn't tasted in years.

Our entrees were very large. When I took my first bite of my Italian sausage with peppers and onions in a primivara over penne, I thought I was back in Bella Napoli! It was a perfect blend of flavors with al dente pasta cooked perfectly. All the other entrees in our party were superb. My daughter's Tortellini Carbonara was incredible! Throughout the meal we were brought fresh bread hot of the oven, and the service was good.

Like any real Italian restaurant, you must wait for your food to be made from scratch, so don't expect your entree to come out as quickly as places were many dishes are partially preprepared.

Although we didn't imbibe, I saw they had a great selection of moderately priced and very good Italian wines. I recommend splurging for a botlle, as they serve by the glass from bottles that have been opened and recorked. Many good restaurants in St Aug do the same.

Prices are moderate and above. Casa Benedetto's accepts cash and debit cards only, so be prepared. A reliable source told me they will accept credit cards if the owner gives the OK before you order, but I wouldn't depend on that. A Publix ATM is right up the street, so you can get cash before the meal if you lack a debit card.

My wife and are already planning what we will order on our return visit. Casa Benedetotto is know for their veal dishes, so its Veal Sorrentino for me. We picked up a menu for future reference.

We love the many restaurants that our beautiful oldest city has to offer, and we often have to consider where we should go. In the future, when it comes to Italian, Casa Benedetto's is the only choice..

To only give you a rating of the food we ate at Casa Benedetto's would be a disservice.
The food was excellent! This is authentic New York style Italian/Sicilian cuisine. The ingredients and herbs are fresh and the portion sizes are quite ample, you will walk away stuffed and satisfied. We started out with the baked clams, do not miss ordering them! Baked just right, juicy and just the right amount of fresh seasonings. We had the scallops and shrimp parmigiana, both were excellent! The dressing for the salad that came with the entrees was homemade with fresh chopped herbs; the desserts were perfect.
Well now the service, the waitress was so friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu. she came over often to see if anything was needed and to check on any needs. The kitchen was fast in plating out our meal from appetizer through desserts. The owners made the rounds to the tables greeting everyone, asking how everything is and checking on the items served. It was like eating over in a (nice) relative's dining room. Unfortunately this restaurant will immediately spoil you from wanting to go to any other area restaurant for Italian food.

I would not recommend this restaurant but would love to be able to. WE own a house very close to it and would like not to have to leave the island for dinner. Food is not bad but a long way from good. Only cash no credit cards and doesn't look that clean........
