If you're in St. Augustine, you need to visit this lighthouse. It should be on the top 1 or 2 things to do while you're in town. It's a beautiful lighthouse that you can climb and check out the views from the top. Only 219 steps separate you from the ground and a fantastic view. Note that you do need to pay to get in. But you can also tour the keeper's house and check out how they salvage shipwrecks. Very interesting place. Go early and beat the heat and the crowds!

The climb to the top of the lighthouse is definitely worth it! The views are spectacular! Before descending the steps, be sure to make a left hand turn to see the huge lens. The museum and Keeper’s house are educational and interesting.

I walked to the top for the view, which I recommend if you can do it - but it is not easy so think about your fitness level. There are places to rest, however if its at a crowded time frame that will not be a good idea as others are trying to pass up and down. Overall I recommend this, it was educational and fun, and very we'll maintained.. The view from the top allows you to look back at the Castillo and St Augustine.

Can't miss the lighthouse! Get to climb up to the top and good exhibits -- really liked the basement of the lighthouse keepers home with the items they have found in the sea. Well done!

Climbing the lighthouse was great! The best part was taking pictures up and down the staircase. The view up top is great too. Only drawback is poor signage guiding you there. Frustrating! Overall very nice.
