great casual seafood place with a river view. Fresh seafood everyday and it's reasonable price. Make sure to wear sandals coz you'll be walking on sandy parking lot.

I found this seafood restaurant through a site of recommended places to eat in the area. It mentioned that locals loved it, and that is always a draw for me. My whole family was so pleased!!! We arrived at 5:20 and were quoted a 20 minute wait. Almost exactly 20 minutes later, our pager went off and we were seated at a picnic style table. Seating was on the docks and outdoors, but it is a covered eating area. The staff is friendly and hardworking. The various servers all help every table, so you are always being cared for during your visit. The restaurant claims award winning New England clam chowder, and though it is pricey, it is truly the best I’ve ever had! My husband ordered the “Captain’s Platter,” which had a market price of $27.99. It included crab legs, steamed shrimp, fresh fish, and clams...Fresh, fresh, fresh!!! I’d believe our seafood was caught right off the restaurant docks! There is also a bar area somewhat separate from the main dining area. Saw many frozen and bar drinks served throughout that looked delicious. We had read to expect approximately a thirty minute wait, and soon after we arrived it did seem to be an approximate wait time. The restaurant is in South Daytona Beach. It is not attractive from the outside, but give it a chance. It is fresh, quality seafood (also has non seafood options), quality service, and reasonable prices. My fish and chips, for example, was only around $10 for two filets, fries, and coleslaw. Our whole family was very happy with this experience!

Fun and friendly place with GREAT food! The seafood stuffed portobello is to die for! Kid friendly menu with a good balance of classic American and seafood.
The staff is so nice. The waiters/waitresses all work together so you aren’t waiting for them same person to give refills or assist you.
Make sure to save some French fries for the cat fish! The restaurant is right on a bed of water, you can walk out to the pier and throw the fries to the fish. It’s a neat sight.

For mouth watering shrimp, grilled flounder, and crisp fries Boondocks is hard to beat. The service is great, courteous and prompt. The staff works as a team. Prices are fair. On Friday and Saturday evening you can expect to wait a bit. They offer a full menu with an ample bar.
Get there early, have a drink and enjoy the view. You might just forget your troubles for a couple of hours. This is one of my families favorite restaurant for lunch or dinner.

The food, drinks and service never disappoint. The chowder is the bomb! Pass on the shrimp appetizer however. For some reason they use frozen instead of fresh shrimp. Other then that everything we've had has been great.
