I am a local and love coming here. You get to explore the history of our beautiful and historic city. There is a living museum where you can see how the Spanish Colonists lived and several museums and historic houses around the area included with the tour that you get to visit as well. If you are visiting the area, this is a must see while here.

A must to see if visiting. Beautiful and really neat to see. Amazing buildings and the architecture is very cool.

a lovely area of Pensacola where you can step back in time and see how they lived when Pensacola was first rising from the ground, story's of the hardship and trials that people had to endure, also the clothing the food, the wages the way they use to live, as you walk around it makes you feel like you have stepped back in time,

I live close to Pensacola and never knew the history of the city. This tour is a great introduction to the city of 5 flags. Our guide was Alan and he was very informative and kept it interesting. We had about about 8 in our group and the weather was beautiful, so we didn't have any problems with getting over heated, as one review mentioned. All the buildings except one are air conditioned. One house has steep stairs, some people may miss that part if they can't climb stairs. But that is a very small part of the tour. There are museums and other houses you can tour on your own. Eat lunch at one of the restaurants nearby and make a day of it! I plan to go back to catch the museums I missed this time. Fun tour!

We took the paid tour to see the 4 buildings that you can only see if you took the tour. The group was large and we had a gentlemen that knew his history. At the beginning of the tour we stood for about 20 minutes in the store listening to the history of the village. It was so bored and you forgot to listen. We all processed to the first building which about 20 or so people are put in the building and the building was locked after we got in. With so many people and the gentlemen talking for another half hour. I had to leave to get some air. Way to hot to have us all in one room. This happened in each building. People were just leaving because the tour was so long and he told so much history that no one was listening. We were so hot and tired that we did not even walk around the village that was free. I really don't think the tour was worth the money.
