Having visited an several occasions and repeatedly been disappointed I felt that the enormous potential of the Location was deserving of another look.
On entering the European Square it was obvious that an effort had been made.
Some of the Planting had been replaced and an attempt to revamp the Hard Landscaping around the Stage area had not gone well. There was an attempt to replace the Ground Covering around the Bandstand, but no thought had been given to the Weather and much of the River Rock/Gravel had been washed/rained out and formed a hard bed on the Paved area which due to poor installation is not leveled to drain and thus had the appearance of a Dry River Bed when I saw it. Whoever planned this had little or no foresight and no effort planned in to retain the Gravel which has obviously washed out with the first rain after installation. Very poor and a waste of money. Once again an example of the amateur management that seems to dog the European Village. The Streams of Lights were just as ineffective as last seen, some months ago around Christmas time, with over half broken and not working!
How difficult is it to change out light Bulbs!?! Surely it does not take Six Months, it looked and remains tacky! Again Cigarette butts thrown every where and debris left lying in full view, very little improvement over half a year.
Whilst some Restaurants are making an effort ( Moonrise Brewery, La Piazza, 5th Element and The Lisbon Cafe) the remainder provides a down market and lowest common denominator offering and the European Village is repeatedly let down by a few very tired operations.
Cork and Pint is typical of the low end market attracted to The European Village and has the appearance of an Immigration Camp, with clutter, tentage, debris and rubbish piled up both at the front and to the rear. Another disaster is Europa which sets the scene as it is right at the entrance to the Village Square and probably 90% of the visitors to the Village walk past this seedy looking dump. Against my better judgement we Dined in Europa if you could call it Dining. Apparently this establishment is only opened on an Ad-hoc basis or when the owners (Clearly tired of working on their Business) feel inclined to open. This is apparently two to three nights a week.
After our nameless Server finished telling us what they DID NOT Have on the Menu we opted for Burgers and a Steak. To describe the experience as distinctly average is about as good as it gets for Europa. There is only one word to describe this Restaurant that doubles up as a late night drinking den on Friday's and Saturday's and that is TIRED.
Our server did indicate that a new operator was taking over and that can only be positive for this run down Restaurant.

Once again a visit to disappoint not to inspire....Oh Dear! I wonder if the European Village Management reads these reviews...... or only looks for the positives?

The European Village has many great restaurants for lunch and dinner and you can walk around and look in the shops. It has the European look with condos above all the stores.
