Thanks to Gayle for having a beautiful home for rent and going above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant vacation. Will definitely consider coming back!

Clean, Quiet & Convenient
This town-home was clean, quiet & convenient. It is right next to the Orange County Convention Center & Sea World. It has an adorable walk to a chickee hut on a tiny island with loungers & hammocks. Also located right off of I-4. My hubby & I weren't impressed with the restaurant at Westgate & the Lakefront restaurant was under construction. So make your way to international drive. Plenty of great restaurants. Couple of minor cosmetic fixes need to be attended to along with a new couch, but Gayle assured me she was on it. If you need a full size kitchen then this place isn't for you, but if you need a place to store a few fridge items & make small meals it's perfect! I'd stay again.

I appreciate Heather's comments and indeed am searching for a sofa with more 'cush'. The red leather sofa is fairly new and I was told it would last, but some items just don't live up to their promises - but I do! Part of the fun of offering a home to guests is knowing they loved their stay. All suggestions are welcome and help me improve your experience.

Condo Clean/Grounds Yuck
Let me start by saying Gail is very kind and very caring. The condo was small but very clean and decorated nicely. The location can not be beat. The pool was very nice and was part of Westgate Resorts. The grounds was just a mess. When I spoke to Gail about this she reminded me that the other units that I saw was not her units. I agreed hers was nice but the grounds were scary. I will not book again. i am sorry to say because Gail was a Jewel.

Good news! Our sprinkler system has been inoperable recently and our grounds had areas that needed refreshing. I was just elected President of our owner's association and we have already started a total upgrade to landscaping. We've installed more lighting, ordered mulch and plants with park areas in the works. Within a few weeks, you'll find Sand Lake Village as inviting outside as my townhome is inside! I do hope you'll reconsider staying in the future. I'm sure you will be pleased.

Hermoso duplex, muy bien ubicado
Un duplex muy comodo, limpio y equipado. Excelente ubicacion a pocos km de los parques. Cuando uno llega se encuentra con un listado de instrucciones sumamente utiles. Lo unico negativo es que el entorno no esta muy cuidado.

Centrally located for both Disney and Universal
The townhouse was in close proximity to both parks, was well furnished and had everything we needed to make our dinners at home. It was nice to come home from a long day at the parks and watch a movie while we ate and unwound. The beds were comfy and the furniture was nice. The only issue we had while we were there was with the upstairs staying about five degrees cooler then downstairs. Fans were provided to help, but it still stayed a bit too warm in my opinion. Otherwise the place was perfect, lots of stores and restaurants in the area. I would stay here again.

Lakefront Townhouse Review
Centrally located to everything. Place very clean and well kept.Enjoyed our stay there and would recommend the place to anyone. The agent was very helpful and polite. We are going back in 2011.

About the neighbourhood
With view of Big Sand Lake you'll see Disney fireworks reflect in the lake and beautiful sunsets. You are surrounded by fantastic restaurants (over 100), outlet malls (at least 6 huge ones), upscale mall (best stores in the state), not to mention Disney is 5-10 minutes (it's huge with 4 themed parks & 2 water parks), SeaWorld, Aquatica - new waterpark, and Discovery Cove are just across the Interstate (1 mile), and Universal is 2 street lights. Easy access from airport, Interstate and low traffic side roads you are in a quite guarded entry community next to a big resort. We have an on site restaurant and Lighted tennis court. Everyone LOVES this location. I have many, many return guests.
Getting around
Uber and taxi service available for those without a rental vehicle. Orlando attractions are not in walking distance. As an example, Disney and Universal are about 8 miles from each other. The townhome is centered between the three major parks, convention center, International Drive, and shopping malls. Several grocery stores are in the area including Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Publix, Walmart and Fresh Market. There are literally over 100 restaurants nearby. There are maps and helpful phone numbers in the welcome manual.

How to get there
The GPS address is 10246 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32819 Your unit number is 168. Tip to avoid traffic backups during busy seasons: If you are arriving during busy holidays using Interstate 4 from the turnpike or I-95 take the Universal Studio Exit. Left at Hollywood Way, left onto Turkey Lake Road and **stay on Turkey Lake until you get to the 2nd entrance for Westgate Lakes AND The Smokehouse Grill Restaurant. Turn right into the restaurant area, immediate left in front of their parking lot and enter Sandlake Village Townhome community. This tip will save you sitting through several light changes at the Sandlake Road Exit, and avoid having to move over several traffic lanes to make a left onto Turkey Lake. From Orlando International Airport: North Exit, follow signs for Interstate 4. Exit onto Expressway 528. Exit 1 for International Drive. Turn left on to International Drive then right on to Westwood Blvd. Right at Central Florida Parkway, stay right and go under Interstate 4. Turn right at the T on to Turkey Lake Road. ^^^ Turn left just after the post office where you see signs for Westgate Lakes Resort AND The Smokehouse Grill. If you go to the light, you've gone too far. Turn left in front of the restaurant parking lot and proceed into Sandlake Village Townhome community. Parking spaces are designated with your unit number on the curb. 2 spaces per townhome. Your parking lot is the first lot to the right (make a U turn into the lot). Space #168 facing the road. Additional space is by the yellow wall. From Interstate 4 - see tip above if you are entering Interstate 4 from I-95 or Florida's Turnpike. The regular directions are: take the Sandlake Road Exit. Stay in the left RIGHT turn lane. Turn right then immediately move over 3-4 lanes to turn left onto Turkey Lake Road. Follow directions from the ** above. From Tampa and points west - from Interstate 4, take the SeaWorld exit. Left onto Central Florida Parkway. Right on to Turkey Lake Road. 3rd left turn lane you see, turn Left at the 2 signs - Westgate Lakes Resort AND The Smokehouse Grill. See ^^^ above
