Hotel has really declined in the past couple years. They are really short staffed and unapologetically still charging full price while providing only a fraction of the usual experience. Things are not kept up well and there are visible maintenance issues all around the property.

We booked a last min trip to Naples grande beach resort to escape the MI weather...the property grounds are gorgeous! Our kids loved the main pool and waterslide! We liked that there were plenty of chairs out and even if you got to the pool at 11 you could easily grab a great spot! The little tiki bar served good drinks and beach food. We took a short golf cart ride to the beach which was convenient when you’re carrying beach gear, but you could also walk the boardwalk (10 min walk).
The rooms are great, very clean and spacious with a large balcony and nice patio furniture!
Due to covid some of the food options like room service or the little cafe seemed to have limited hours but that wasn’t a huge deal for us!
We will definitely be back!

I am writing this review from my room at the Naples grande beach resort. To say I am disappointed by this resort would be an understatement. I am staying in a one bedroom suite and the room is clean and the Decour looks like they have made some attempts at redecorating. However, everything is old and it is very evident. I spoke with Morgan at the front desk about some specific issues and I was told things would get looked at and taken care of, but they have not. The specific issues that I complained about are as follows:

Tub faucet not against wall, I can see the water pipe as it is about ¾” away from the wall.

In the bathroom sink, although the cold water works. It does not cooled down the hot water.

The water pressure in the shower is terrible.

Cabinets in the kitchen area are not aligned and do not sit flush against their housing.

There also seems to be some water damage or mold in the ceiling in the master bedroom for which I posted a photo.

The only thing that changed after speaking with the front desk is that the water in the shower now does not get hot at all.

I haven’t made a complaint about a hotel in over 15 years. Normally I wouldn’t even make a complaint about these things as from the surface they are all relatively minor, however, for over $1500 for three nights I expect significantly better. We had heard good things and chose this hotel over the Ritz up the road. That was a mistake.

I will be here until February 27 and I am in room 602 if someone from management would like to contact me about this review. If we get some resolution I’d be happy to take it down.

This was my fifth stay there, but first in about 10 years. My wife's first time. We both recommend it to anyone. All rooms have a great view. We love the boardwalk to the beach and the pool. Very friendly staff.

We stayed Feb 2021. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to 5th Ave which was fine for us. Great location near alot of shopping/dining options on it's own. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. We had the breakfast package and were concerned with some of the reviews but we had a very good experience. Important to note, no buffet as of Feb 21 so food was order and brought to table. Service was great, the food was good, and they had some healthy options too. The staff at Aura worked together to get you seated, get you your food, and does it with a pleasant demeanor. Glad we got the breakfast package because we could start out day early and not worry about it. The room was very clean and fairly spacious for a hotel room. Nice balcony and even from the side away from the direct water view we still had a nice gulf coast view. Easy to order drinks or food at the pool or beach. Quick and fun tram ride down the boardwalk to a very nice beach with chairs, umbrellas, cabanas for guests. (additional charge for umbrellas $18 and cabanas $25) The cabanas with bed were alot more and we didn't feel it was really worth it. Overall a very nice stay for our little family and we thought when you think about all the amenities you are getting here it makes the extra price per night worth it. $18 for self park per day was a little steep but really my only complaint. Hand sanitizers all over on little stands near elevators and doors.

Room tip: You will have great views from anywhere unless you are a lower floor and then maybe the canopy blocks it a little bit.
