I can't recommend these guys highly enough. If you are looking for a charter for 6 or fewer people, give Outcast a call asap.
Set up was extremely easy and streamlined, and the pricing very fair. That said- always tip!
Mike and Hunter were extremely fun and easy to get along with. If you are having issues with them, let me assure you that it's you, not them. The boat is quite spacious for 2 crew and 6 passengers, with shade and comfortable seating.
Above all else, I can tell you that these guys are not phoning it in and really put in the effort. We went out on a pretty lackluster fishing afternoon, but they really worked to find the fish and give us a good time. We caught 7 blackfin tuna (delicious) and 1 bonito, on a day where most people didn't catch anything (people were asking to buy our fish at the docks).
My only regret is that we didn't do a full or 3/4 day. I can't wait to get out with these guys again sometime.
Went out for an afternoon with Michael and Chad on one of those unusually cold days in early January. Three of us (father, son, cousin). They seemed glum...AFTER Chad had swiped my card...saying that no one had caught anything that morning in the deep, and so were going to try shallower waters. We stayed in waters 13-45 feet deep, barely a mile from shore, and it turned out to be a good call. We landed 6 pretty big fish (including a couple of 3 ft-long mackarels), and a couple of smaller throwbacks. When we returned to the dock a few hangers-about confirmed that no one else had caught much.
Other pros:
1) they bait and cast and work the rigging, and handle the caught fish, but have you reel in, which is a good division of labor for novices
2) they concentrated on their work and were not much for chit chat
A couple of cons:
Both guys were smokers, and one was a chain smoker. We did not feel strongly about it as the breeze drove the stink away, but, if that turns you off, demand otherwise before you book
Some pointers (no matter which company you choose):
1) decide beforehand, rationally, how much fish you want and how you want it cleaned. A good company will do that for you uncomplainingly; these guys did. They will gladly keep, and sell, what you do not take
2) plan accordingly: bring an insulated chest (they will give you as much ice as you need and pack the fish in bags)
All in all, I'd go with these guys again, given the success of the outing.
Visiting from Texas for my friends bachelor party and it was even one of the guys first time fishing. We had a fantastic time and caught some beautiful fish right from the get go. It's my first time in Miami and I would definitely do it again if I am ever in the area again and would recommend it for anyone considering to do charter fishing.
We took a 8 hour fishing trip with our 3 kids. The guys where amazing. They where very professional and had ton of patience for the kids. They made sure we all had a wonderful fishing experience. They did everything possibly for my husband to catch a Sail Fish and they succeeded, he was able to catch his 1st Sail Fish. They sure know what they are doing and we will for sure come back.
Had an amazing time with these very knowledgeable individuals these guys are the best in the business Chad and Mike ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
