Saw this restaurant was highly recommended and tried it. The high ranking is well deserved, we travel extensively and this is one of the best we have encountered in the country. Evening view of the sunset can be spectacular. The food is as good as the view. We tried two combination meals to get a taste of several entrees. All were some of the best German food we have ever had. This is certainly the best German restaurant I've ever been to, maybe the best restaurant overall we've been to.

There are so few decent restaurants in this area that good dining is elevated to excellent. The sample plate is the most popular item for good reason. Everything is cooked to perfection and tastes delicious. The Steaks are thin, but very tasty. Skip the appetizers and dessert as they all appear to be afterthoughts to the main entrees.

The food is very authentic German and there is a very nice selection. The liver pate is to die for. The only thing we were disappointed with was the sauerbraten. It was not very tender. Also we went early at 5 PM but the restaurant was full so the meals took a long time just over 90 minutes to arrive.

Cafe Coconut Cove has been on my list for a long-time. Finally made the trip to Melbourne Beach and it will not be my last. Everything (Service, Food and Ambience) was just terrific.

My husband and I met another couple here for dinner. We had primo sunset views, which made for perfect pictures, and a most memorable meal. The liver pate to start with is a must, as is a German draft beer. Potato pancakes are another tasty choice.
For dinner, I had the Combination Plate, with sauerbraten, red cabbage, bratwurst, and Jaeger Schnitzel. It was excellent and actually not an overly large portion. We will definitely be back.
