I initially rented a Kayak on Marco Island and had a very pleasant experience from booking to the man who met me at the dock with the paddle. Then they sent me a 10% discount if I ever booked again. Well I did - the dolphin tour on Marco (that included the dome houses) with I think captain Mark and Steve who were great. Mark had quite a sense of humor, and was very knowledgeable about the area, the animals and shared my interest in ecotourism and environmental preservation. We not only saw lots of dolphins but they got a group to follow the wake of the boat and swim right there as close as can be, entertaining us in the wild. Then I rented a paddle board on Isle of Capris. I am a good swimmer and can paddle well enough, certified in stand up paddle board yoga....but I ended up getting lost in the interweaving maze of mangrove canals. I tried my best to get back on my own, feeling safe the whole time. I was trying to avoid having to call for help, but it was getting late and that was my only option. There is service out there! And I was transferred to Chris who could not have been nicer, reassured me there was no cause for embarrassment (this happens sometimes), and he was able to track my location using my phone. Although I had gone way out, he was able to guide me through the maze of water channels until I knew where I was - spent over 15 minutes with me on the phone and watched out for me on return. Then he went beyond the call of duty and offered me and my bike a ride back to where I was going on Marco. Now that is how we all need to be to each other- - basic human kindness - but warrants beyond 5 STAR REVIEW!
