This was a fun and free thing to do with one of our stays here in Clearwater/Largo. Lots of beautiful plants and I would say if you are in the area, perfect place for wedding shots or engagement photos. They actually have a place called the wedding garden. There is also a butterfly garden. I think this would be a great place to take young kids as there were activities for the
. We spent about 1.5 hours here. We saw lots of baby alligators. You have to stop and really look because they blend in with their environment. We believe the mom was also spotted but not near her babies. Heritage Village is next door but not as fun due to Covid so you can't really see much.

Stopped by this place that we spotted when leaving the park across the street. We came back for something to do and had low expectations as it was winter. Well... this place had so many beautiful plants and art to look at. You will not be disappointed. The only thing we were sad about was that the visitor center was not open.

We enjoyed our trip to Florida Botanical Gardens in March 2021. Beautiful scenery and we loved the bridge and flowers. We spent around three hours here and saw alligators, turtles, butterflies, and different insects. There were little green caterpillars hanging from many trees (unknowing guests called them "worms")

Paths did a complete circle around the gardens, which is wonderful for those wanting to get in a good walk. Many different things to look at so we actually circled through twice. I didn't see the tropical, cacti, and wedding gardens our first round through, so glad we took another look. The wedding garden is stunning and an absolute must see. I loved the roses there! We also saw a huge banana spider that lives by the front entrance to the wedding garden.

Don't miss Heritage Village right next door. Both of these places are must sees for tourists and locals alike and a free to get into. I would allow 3-6 hours to see both sites depending on your walking speed and how much time you spend at each place. For me, photography was the reason for our trip, so I spent much time on flowers and the houses at Heritage Village.
