Moving west. First stop: Lake City RV Park. A welcoming respite after a hectic week of packing and moving. Beautifully landscaped, clean, welcoming staff and beautiful people. Dog park a big hit with our standard poodle. Stop there. U won’t regret it.

Awesome little RV campground right off I-10 at I-75....trees, stocked fishing ponds, gazebos, shaded dog park with chairs, very homey clubhouse with covered front porch, library, cookies and coffee 24/7....clean showers and rest rooms. Free continental breakfast on Saturday, free cookout/pot luck on Saturday afternoon....

I was greeted in the office by a wonderful, friendly woman. She gave me all the information I needed. We got a great location. The sites are super narrow, but we had an end lot (right by a small lake) and no one was on our other side so we had no trouble. It was a level, pull in site, we didn’t even unhitch our car. It had been raining forever so there were a lot of puddles around, but nothing we couldn’t get around. The club house is super nice and although I only saw two shower rooms, they were very clean. If we ever need to stop in this area again, we will definitely stop here.

This is our 2nd review of this campground. The 1st one was four years ago when it was known as Oaks 'n Pines. Most of the negatives addressed by others are somewhat relevant but overall, the new management has made an absolute world of difference. The location, relative to the interstate which will always be annoying to some, is quite acceptable to us. Yes, the nice long pull-through and narrow sites can be confining, especially with large busses adjacent to each other but management are quite adept at selective placement and very accommodating with reassignment when possible. The park itself is quite beautiful, with flowers, ponds, gardens, well designed and functional dog pens, and pathways. Many new trees and plants have been added that are only going to add to the gorgeous ambiance. The most noticeable change to us is the new manager with her honest, energetic and capable team of work campers, as well as her relationship with them. She obviously leads by example and this is well reflected by her people. We were here for two weeks and these were the hardest working, friendliest hosts we have ever experienced. We will try to return here next spring if there is room for us.
p.s. The WiFi here may be the best we have enjoyed in any campground.

Easy on & off I-10. Nice Clean campground. We had a pull threw site #64 with full hookups. The staff were very nice & friendly, always waving & saying hi. The laundry was the cleanest one I have EVER seen in a campground. Bathrooms nice & clean. Saturday morning they have a free breakfast in the clubhouse. And at least once a month have a pot luck dinner at the clubhouse. Heard there was a new owner & they have done a lot of work updating the campground. New gravel on most of the sites ( still working on them all ). Our site didn’t have new gravel yet so it was pretty muddy after all the rain. You do hear some traffic noise from I-10. We stayed for a month. Everyone was friendly too. Nice fenced in doggie park our doggie loved running around in.
