Although it was in middle of remodel, the attitude and friendliness of the staff made up for it and we will book here next time we get to come back to OldTown, assuming they are still able to accommodate our semi. Jackie at the pool bar was super sweet. And both people we dealt with at the front desk were fantastic and very accommodating. Thanks again!

We checked in to this hotel on 14th September. We were told that the pool and games room were out of action, so, there would be no resort fee to pay. Disappointed about the pool and games room, but satisfied with the compensation. When checking out 2 weeks later, we were told that we were all paid up,
3 days later, checked my bank and the hotel has decided to take the resort fee anyway. I didn’t authorise this payment, but it has been taken anyway. Absolute daylight robbery. The hotel should be ashamed of itself. I have lodged a complaint with Thomas Cook.
Any one checking in, be very wary about allowing them to swipe your credit card!

Dear David,
Thank you for informing us of your recent stay. Unfortunately, the hotel associate who checked you in neglected to change your reservation to reflect the waiving of the resort fee. I apologize for his oversight, and we have spoken with him about his error to make sure a similar mistake does not occur. I am sorry that what was a regrettable, simple mistake was elevated by you to be a case of “daylight robbery." We find this conclusion to be totally unfounded and inappropriate, especially since we were never given an opportunity to correct our error prior to your review.
We have corrected our transaction on your account. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

Sincerely,
Wade D. Michael, CHA, CMCA

When I read the reviews for this hotel I was hopeful that the hotel would be a good quality but to honest we have left disappointed.. The good points were the air conditioning was always very welcome and working.. The free bar between 5 and 6 and its proximity to Disney... But there were things that were not so good... When we asked for some times for the shuttle to the park the person we asked didn't answer my question they were more interested in selling me half price tickets to disney if we visited a hotel for 3 or 4 hours first (which we later found out to be a time share).
The breakfast was also a let down unless you like scrambled egg or scrambled egg with peppers 'and after 14 days you get extremely fed up with it' the young lad serving the scrambled egg was usually on his phone and serving breakfast was a chore to him! There were not enough tables to host so many people for breakfast either.
The area we were in was aimed towards South Americans and you could feel that in the hotel as well... Nobody ever spoke to us when they saw us but the other guests were entertained by staff...
The hotel is very dated.. It needs a good revamp.. I asked for a sink and a new bath plug twice... We got the sink plug but never got another bath plug.. I won't recommend this hotel but hopefully it will get the revamp it desperately needs.

My wife and I stayed here Friday night the 28th ....My Brother booked the room for us, as we both had check in times for our prospective resorts on Sat the 29th...The Hotel is in a very familiar area for my family , as we have been traveling to the Orlando/ Kissimmee area for over 30 years....The front desk clerk at check in , Fuse, was Very professional , Friendly and a True customer service Pro !!... Raphael, who is the guy at the ticket and info desk , was also very friendly and full of information!! We were informed that the Pool and game room were closed for refurbishment ( as was an entire part of the hotel) and that the patio tiki bar was having free beer and wine from 5 to 6 PM!!!! Of course, we were expecting one drink each..we were thrilled to find out it was as many drinks as we could drink in that hour !!! ( great way to relax and start our vacation after a long drive from nc !! )...The Bar tender , Jackie ( NOT with a "Y" ) was an excellent host !! Very friendly and she was a consummate pro , handling over 35 people's orders with a smile and great speed, always keeping everyone's beer and wine full !! .music played as everyone was unwinding and enjoying themselves , even with the pool being closed....when we got to the room we were excited to see it was a 2 bedroom suite with a small living area and kitchen...the first thing I said to my wife was , what a perfect , Affordable room for a family like ours ( we have 4 adult children ..hotels like this werent around when our kids were young , when we made all of our theme park trips to Orlando )......The room was clean and was large enough to literally sleep 10 people !!! 4 double beds. 2 in each room, and a pull out sofa......with a small fridge, microwave and two stove top burners, coffee maker, etc.....this is a perfect hotel for a family like mine...hard working, middle class....maybe can't afford a " fancy" hotel or theme park hotel, but wants to share their love of Disney and Universal and Sea world with their kids.and do it as affordably as possible !!.the hotels location is absolutely perfect..right next to Old Towne, withing walking distance of a Super Walmart, restaurants , gift shops and just a few minutes from The main entrance to Walt Disney World ! I would have LOVED to have been able to get a room like this when we were younger with 4 young children, instead of having to rent two regular rooms ( or sneak a child or two in and use a blow up mattress in one room, lol ).....we slept great....the hotel had an excellent, full hot breakfast buffet , (so there is money saved right there every morning of a nice , long vacation).......we can afford a nicer hotel now that al of.our kids are " Adults"....But I'll never shy away from a nice, Family friendly hotel like this...especially with a staff as Great as Fuse, Jackie and Raphael..!! Keep up the Great Work Guys and Gal !!! Thank You for a Very Fun Night !!

I stayed here for five nights with my girlfriend for our Disneyworld get away. We had a room with a kitchenette which was clean. No issues with the room rather other than it seemed slightly outdated. The breakfast was delicious. It's your standard American continental buffet breakfast offering, cereal, hot foods (sausages, bacon, eggs etc), fruit and so on. My favourite was the country style gravy with biscuits. The staff were fantastic and the customer service was great. We had one staff translate some Spanish things for us.

The hot tub and pool were a great add-on.

My only other complaint is the theme park shuttle times could be better. They are a way to late and most of the time i uber'd to the parks.

Other than that, I would recommend this place for a stay
